If you could inject yourself into any TV show, which would it be?

Suppose you had to go into exile as a television character in a pre-existing show- you’ll still be “yourself”, but you’ll now be one of the FRIENDS or SEINFELD people or whatever, which would you choose? Remember that this is 24/7 and it will be as real a reality as the one you currently live in.

For past shows, I would have said NORTHERN EXPOSURE- I’d be the new librarian in town and I’d hang out at the Brick when not talking showtunes with Maurice or movies with Ed.

For shows currently on TV I’d choose Will and Grace and be the NYPL-PINK librarian who moved in and made Will and Jack fight over him. Hmmm…

Gotta go with “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. It would be a great world to live in, what with the advanced technology and a happy Earth future. Plus there would always be a chance for adventure by joining Starfleet.

“Hi, my name is Ensign Redshirt! What hap - <ZAP> aak!”

I’ll have a ball on any Saturday morning cartoon. I reckon I can take on Samurai Jack in a fight, but join forces with him once we realise we’re both fighting for good

Happy Days.

Not too long ago, I would find myself injected into The X-Files when I would dream…wasn’t too bad…the one I most vividly remember went something like this:
Me (to Gillian Anderson, referencing her ankle tattoo, in my best “on the prowl” voice): So, you up to letting me try to lick that off?
GA: Which one, the one on my ankle, or the one I have to shave for?
Me: now reduced to blithering idiot

I’ve also found myself injected into gasp **Roswell **episodes during my dreams - usually trying to help them with whatever conundrum they found themselves in at the end of the ep that evening…
ok, I’m a geek…

  • Dirk

The companion of the season (or two) of The Doctor.

That’s the BBC-TV show Doctor Who, btw…

Esp during the Tom Baker years. or the Colin Baker years so i could have Peri as a love interest.

Frasier
24  (I’d need a lot of fitness training, though)
The Sopranos (Sitting around all day playing poker)

Roswell cos the male cast are cute LOL!

And Higher Ground because I really like that show, although Id prefer to not have there problems.

Both shows are over now though…

Buffy, because my everyday dialog would be 60% snappier.

Plus, there’s the killing.

Enterprise.

Me.

T’Pol.

Copious amounts of monkey love.

Stargate SG-1. I want to play golf across multipul planets. Having a zat gun. Having a badge that gives me access to area-51. Fishing with O’Neal on days off.

That 70s Show. Mmmmm… a Hyde/Eric sandwhich. Yum.

I’d be very happy running a booth in the Zocalo on Babylon 5.

Being a barfly on Cheers would also be OK.

Darn you Steelerphan, I thought I was going to be the first to mention getting onto Babylon 5! I’d like to discuss The Book of G’kwan with G’kar, have a drink with Londo, hear about Velen from Lenier, and so on.

I’d be one of Kelly’s boyfriends on Married With Children.
On second thought, I don’t want to get my ass kicked by Al, so maybe I’ll go work for Chong at the fotomat on That 70s show.

Jon

Oooh, too many choices

In no particular order;

The West Wing - I think I’d quite enjoy being as smart as Toby, Josh et. al. appear to be

Friends, Seinfeld, Married With Children, Sex and The City - Rachel, Elaine, Kelly or Charlottes new boyfriend. I could just guest star on each of them in turn. Variety is the spice of life as they say

Six Feet Under - Would be fun to be a part of that family.

South Park - Just so I could kill Kenny

Star Trek TOS, Of course I’d be the captain of another Constitution class starship.
Or maybe One Day at a Time. ummmmmmm Valerie Bertinelli

Zebra,

I’m not sure the ST:TOS thing is such a good idea - if memory serves, the only Constitution-class ship to return from a 5-year mission was Enterprise.

And as far as my earlier Roswell post goes…let me just say:
mmmmm, Katherine Heigl!
