If you could only eat 1 dinner every day for the rest of your life...

I could eat a BLT everyday, add a slice of muenster cheese, swap in micro greens or any power green for iceberg lettuce. Has to be mayonnaise, not whip. The bread slices should be large, one slice per side of toaster, a deli asiago or ciabatta would work nicely. A good bacon too, hormel natural is not too fancy but I like how it renders in the pan, the grease is golden. I could eat that in a bacon grease sandwich like me Gpa used to in the depression days. A little pepper on the thick sliced tomato, ok red onion too, or avocado damn that’s good too.

Or wrap me up in a juicy spicy steak fajita with homemade tortillas, onion, bell peppers, and shredded cheddar.

If you ever find yourself needing a pierogie fix, The Starlite in Blawnox has amazing pierogies that were featured on Diners, Drve-Ins, and Dives.

Are you able to make them yourself, or are you relying on Granny to knead that dough every day at her age?

I actually do make my grandmother’s pierogi (pierogi is already plural, no need for the ‘s’).

I could eat them every day, but I sure wouldn’t want to make them every day.
mmm

Rice is part of my Louisiana heritage. It’s fed much of the world since antiquity.

Red beans & rice with cornbread.

We make a big pot of beans with andouille sausage. We feast for several days on that pot of beans.
