If you could only eat 1 dinner every day for the rest of your life...

Purina Bachelor Chow.

I’m going to Diamond Jim Brady the sucker. My meal would be:

a huge chef’s salad, with chicken added, fried chicken, pasta, steak, ham, vegetables, chops, fish, breads, roasted chicken, sausages, several bowls of soup, some fruit and a Diet Coke.
Nothing says I have to eat everything every day. I would just rotate through the various courses as my whims carried me. Cheating, no. Fighting the hypothetical, yes.

I’d go for any of these. I eat them enough already that I’m pretty sure I could eat it every day.

Definitely not pizza. Delicious as it is, it’s waaay too heavy to eat every night and still feel like a healthy person with a happy body.

My first thought was korean bbq. With the kimchee, rice, meat, and lettuce I’d be happy every day. That being said based on the updated OP i certainly couldn’t afford to eat that every day. Of things I can afford I’d go with hamburgers with french fries. I can mix up the types of burgers and I could go to restaurants or cook at home it offers flexabily where I’d never get bored.

Now with Flavor?

Noodle soup with a cheese and fruit plate for dessert.

Nearly endlessly variable - can have western-style chicken noodle soup, or pho, or ramen, or wonton mein…can make it as healthy or as comforting or as indulgent or as frugal as desired. With seasonal veggies or exotic meats or just 2-minute pot noodles, depending on how I feel. And can mostly make it myself, but if I want to eat out, there’s plenty of places to do that…

Ditto for the fruit plate being highly variable. It can be a sliced apple and block of cheddar, or it can be a selection of berries and stone fruits with honey mascarpone.

So yeah, another vote for pizza.
(Bolding mine)

For breakfast, straight outta the icebox, BIG glass of chocolate milk. Them’s good eatin.

Big can of Slurm?

Directions unclear : does that mean I have to do the thing ? Or is the thing provided to me, I just have to wait because it takes a long time to cook ? Because in the latter case : well garlick’d lamb shoulder roast with flageolet beans. Food of the gods. I don’t care if you cheat on me, steal my money, diss my best friends and tell everyone my dick is small ; if you feed me that every day I’ll be with you till we’re both in the ground.
If I have to do the thing, then forget it. The question boils down to “what do you eat”, which is “dried meat wrapped around cheese with a beer, every single day”.

But c’mon. You know you want it to.

Hamburger patty (no bun), topped with sauteed mushrooms and onions, avocado slices, gouda cheese, and a side salad with homemade oil and vinegar dressing.

Peanut butter & jelly sandwich w/ chocolate milk.

Seriously. Could do that every day, any time.

A half chicken cooked on a rotisserie with corn and mashed potatoes and gravy.

Man, I’m with you. I’ve had a PBJ for lunch pretty much 5 days a week for the last 30+ years. Every once in a while, my wife will be eating out, or going to book club or something where there will be food, and she’ll say she doesn’t know what food there is for me to eat. I always respond, “I can have a PBJ.”

Can’t think of the last time I had chocolate milk - or any other glass of milk, tho.

Grilled salmon filet, a baked sweet potato, and my Big Salad, which includes spinach, tomatoes, avocado, yellow bell pepper, red onion, feta cheese, and dried cranberries, with Newman’s garlic and parmesan dressing. And Ben & Jerry’s “One Love” ice cream for dessert.

I could eat salmon every day, if I could afford it. When I lived in Alaska, I canned my own, about 90 pints a year, and vacuum sealed filets in my freezer.

Just to be clear, if I pick a burger for my meal, could I hit Five Guys on Monday, White Castle on Tuesday, Wendys on Wednesday, Culvers on Thursday, the local pub on Friday, and grill my own on weekends?

If so, burgers every day.
mmm

My grandmother’s pierogies.

That is a great exclamation of dissatisfaction:

Clerk: We’re sorry, but we have no reservation for a Ms Guin A. Stasia.

Guin: (Throws arms in air) My grandmother’s pierogies!! You people are incompetent!

I’d pick teriyaki chicken. It has chicken, mixed veggies and a tasty sauce with rice. I could eat that every day.

Bean burros. Flour tortilla, a spicy cheese, and beans. MMMMMmmmmmmmm.
