… can you assume they may also be dreaming about you and is there any scientific research about this, or is it all just mystical?
I have dreamed of people who have been in my life, both positively and negatively, so apparently they “impressed” me in some unconscious way.
I’ve just always wondered about this.

No I don’t think they are dreaming about you. Plenty of people have told me “I dreamed about you” and I wasn’t dreaming about them.
Dreams are more symbolic. What does that person symbolize to you?
Some people say that everyone in a dream is you. That person represents some part of your personality.
