She made a cool 100 grand trading commodities, possibly with the help of inside information though that never was proved. All evidence is circumstantial though the Scaifes spent literally millions trying to dig up dirt. She got cold feet pretty quickly and gave up this hobby. It may have been an indiscretion, but Bill’s national ambitions had not fully gelled at the time. If a Republican did anything like this, it would be chalked up to genius.
