I don’t have a Democrat of choice. (I keep changing my mind–not least because my Democrat of choice really is whomever is most likely to beat McCain, and I can’t tell who fits that bill.) I will vote for whichever Democrat is on the ticket, but I’m not convinced that sharing the ticket is a good move–especially if Obama is the Presidential candidate.
Nope. If Obama isn’t the Democratic nominee, I’m voting Communist. There is no combination of factors that would ever compel me to vote for Hillary under any circumstances.
I cannot under any circumstances see Obama sharing the ticket with Clinton.
The Dems could nominate Satan himself and I’d vote Democratic.
Yes, I really do. I don’t think there’s much she wouldn’t do for power and I wouldn’t give a plugged nickel for the career of anyone who tries to thwart her.
I’d vote for Cheney before Clinton.
Clinton is my first choice, but I would vote for Mr. Obama if he secures the nomination. If the two of them run on the same ticket, I will be surprised, but happy to see them both in the White House, and I would hope whichever one does the Veep stint goes on to take over 8 years later.
I will vote for whoever has the D after their name on the ballot. I would strongly prefer that D to have the word Clinton before it, but if it says Obama I could live with that.
Absolutely. The only other choice is a McPresident.
I am now an Independant, I just left the Republican party on Feb 6th. I want a Democrat in now, and I can stomach Clinton, so if she slimes her way to victory, I will vote for her over McCain who I like better.
I would feel better about it if Obama is at least the VP.
I would of course feel best, getting a chance to vote for Obama.
But he is currently VP, isn’t he?
Jim
No. I’m not a registered Dem, but I’d vote Green first. Of course, NY has been blue on the national level forever, and that’s probably not going to change anytime soon.
I couldn’t stand the thought of four more years of McSame. I’d vote (D).
Absolutely. I prefer Obama but will gladly vote for Clinton. The issues are more important to me than the personality.
I can’t vote for Hillary–her tactics in this campaign are making my skin crawl (note: I voted for her for Senate when I lived in NY and was perfectly happy with my choice). If NJ will be clearly going Democratic, as usual, I will vote for someone else–Independent, Green, something nice and Left–as my protest. If there’s a chance the Republicans could take the state, I’ll close my eyes and think of England. Or something.
I won’t vote for Hillary under any circumstances. If she is the nominee, I will not vote.
I won’t vote for Clinton because I don’t want to give my approval to her campaign tactics. I admit that I can “afford” to think like this because Illinois will almost certainly vote blue anyway. But I won’t validate the way she’s acted this campaign cycle.
I won’t vote for McCain but rather skip that part of the ballot and hit the Senate/House Rep/state & local office votes.
If in my mind Hillary gets the nom fairly (and “fair” would be my own personal definition) then I probably could vote for her. But as it stands now, I don’t see how that could happen and probably will not vote for her.
Honestly, I’m not certain. I will probably vote for Hillary if Obama doesn’t get the ticket, because I can’t deal with any more of the same. However, if Hillary gets the nomination in opposition to the popular vote, I might vote third party, or even leave the country altogether. I’m very very, tired of the political climate here.
This is the only reason I would vote for Hillary, who I’m confident would oversee an administration that (while perhaps well-intentioned) would be disastrous, counterproductive, and set the Democratic party back a decade. I don’t really believe she even has a shot at beating McCain, but I would vote for her solely because of SCOTUS.
I have said repeatedly that the only thing the Dems could do to lose my vote is to float Hillary as their candidate. This holds regardless of where she is on the ticket.
I’d vote for Obama.
If Obama wins the popular vote, and the Friends of Clintons sway enough Super-D’s to get her in, there’s no way I’d vote for her. It would just disgust me to no end to have these people just explicitly state, “you jerk my dick; I’ll jerk yours. And you democratic voters don’t even get the pleasure of watching.”
(well, that’s assuming I’d actually go vote, which I don’t)
