If You're Happy and You Know It...

The weather has been good lately, and I’ve been able to fly a lot. I got my pilot’s license in December, and I feel that it is something I’ve been meant to do all my life.

Last week I took a friend and his son flying, and it was incredible to share that with a young person. It can be hard to grab the attention of a teenager, but he was definitely intent upon the experience from the moment we fired up the Piper.

After I land I feel like an addict who just got his fix. But there are only happy side effects - food actually tastes better, and the sex…

God, the sex!

I’m happy because I lost my job last week.

No, really!

See, I get paid for a few months more, and the weather has just turned sunny and warm. Couldn’t be more perfect!

YEEAAAAAHHH!!! School is out for the semester, I’ve survived my first year of teaching with only a few battle scars, and in less than two weeks I’ll be in the Cook Islands on my way to New Zealand.

Oh, and Shayna, I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken – I’m in love with the most wonderful man in the universe, and I’m reasonably confident he loves me back, and in just over a month we’ll be in each other’s arms and probably scandalizing 'most everybody who happens to be in Heathrow Airport that day.

Yeah. Life is good.

hugs purse ((pursephone)) I wish that wasn’t so :frowning: Your such a wonderful people I don’t want bad things to happen to you.

I have ONE thing happy. I get to go home to visit my family in missouri for a week at the end of this month! Got approved time off from work and everthing! I am happy for that… I just wish I didn’t have to come back to the nothingness… :frowning:

It’s great weather, classes are almost over, and my headache went away.

Life is good.

I’m happy 'cause exams are now over (result: my stress level is down tremendously). Currently, I have the next few months to work and play!

Also, I met a really good drummer today. We’re gonna jam sometime. Should be killer.

Oooo, Next week I’m off to NYC with oldscratch! Sounds like the start to a fun Summer.

Oh yes, the weather’s fabulous here too!

Silo - someone knock me back down to reality

But I love you, Cristi! I hope things turn around for you very soon. You should be posting here about happy things that are happening to you!

I have a newly good friend who may be more than a friend at some point who I can drum with, I got into the college of my choice with scholarships, I played ultimate frisbee today and didn’t suck too much, and there was some sun today, contrary to the weather reports, which said snow like yesterday.

And I got to see the ocean again last weekend.

Life is very, very good. In 2 weeks almost all my stress will be gone.

Come on, people! It’s a new day–lots of new reasons to be happy. You can think of something…

Congratulations, Fretful Porpentine! Perhaps we’re living in parallel universes where there is a “most wonderful man” in each one! Yeah, life is very, very good. All the best to you and yours!

Jeg elsker dig, Thomas

Nope … same reason as yesterday. Does that count?

I’m with Euty - all the same reasons as yesterday, except Bob will be here in about two hours.

But this morning I noticed that a birds nest in the Magnolia outside my back door is actually being used by a pair of what I think are mourning doves: http://www.gwf.org/library/kids/kid_dove.htm

How cool is that?

I have reasons to be happy, but they seem to be attacking me in spurts.

*I found my diamond earring that I dropped yesterday in a mad rush to get out the door. relief

*I am alive. I didn’t die overnight of fear of not ever having a boyfriend. Boy, am I lucky.

*My family loves me.

*I have friends. More than two, actually.

*You guys are here to listen to my ramblings.

*I am listening to Lucky Boys Confusion’s “Fred Astaire”. This makes me smile.

*My finals will be over next Wednesday. Yay!

Okay, six out of seven is good. Right?

Oh, yeah. I forgot I also am happy to have a sense of humor. How could I not have and come here?

Life is so good these days.

Despite the miles between us, things with my sweetheart are wonderful and I am happier than I have ever been.

And as if that weren’t enough, my fitness program is a success (I have lost almost 60 pounds) and work, although stressful, is rewarding.

I forgot to add the fact that I will be going to Disney World at the beginning of June. With my family. It will be great! I haven’t been there for 15 years. Wheeee!

What is this foreign word “happiness”?

Well, actually I’m happy that in about four hours I will have three days off and can sleep as long as I want.

I’m happy that I’ll see my sweet little kitty’s face in the window waiting for me to come home tonight.

And I’m happy that eight days from now I’ll be able to order my bitching new computer.

In exactly one week I will never have to go back to the school that I hate more than anything in the world…Texas A&M University.

In 16 days the love of my life, cykrider, is flying here to see me for a whole week!!

I have a few reasons to be happy for awhile. I met and am marying a wonderful man and I am going to spend the rest of my life with him. I have a beautiful, healthy, happy ten year old daughter and she just happens to also be a good kid. To top it off we are expecting a baby that is due November 2[sup]nd[/sup]!

In your case, I make an exception.

:clapping wildly:

My sweetheart is OL after not seeing her for a whole weekend.

I am making plans to go and visit (she is 3000 miles away though :frowning: ) and things between us are great.

I got a new job

Life is good
