The weather has been good lately, and I’ve been able to fly a lot. I got my pilot’s license in December, and I feel that it is something I’ve been meant to do all my life.
Last week I took a friend and his son flying, and it was incredible to share that with a young person. It can be hard to grab the attention of a teenager, but he was definitely intent upon the experience from the moment we fired up the Piper.
After I land I feel like an addict who just got his fix. But there are only happy side effects - food actually tastes better, and the sex…
YEEAAAAAHHH!!! School is out for the semester, I’ve survived my first year of teaching with only a few battle scars, and in less than two weeks I’ll be in the Cook Islands on my way to New Zealand.
Oh, and Shayna, I’m afraid you’re sadly mistaken – I’m in love with the most wonderful man in the universe, and I’m reasonably confident he loves me back, and in just over a month we’ll be in each other’s arms and probably scandalizing 'most everybody who happens to be in Heathrow Airport that day.
hugs purse ((pursephone)) I wish that wasn’t so Your such a wonderful people I don’t want bad things to happen to you.
I have ONE thing happy. I get to go home to visit my family in missouri for a week at the end of this month! Got approved time off from work and everthing! I am happy for that… I just wish I didn’t have to come back to the nothingness…
I have a newly good friend who may be more than a friend at some point who I can drum with, I got into the college of my choice with scholarships, I played ultimate frisbee today and didn’t suck too much, and there was some sun today, contrary to the weather reports, which said snow like yesterday.
And I got to see the ocean again last weekend.
Life is very, very good. In 2 weeks almost all my stress will be gone.
Congratulations, Fretful Porpentine! Perhaps we’re living in parallel universes where there is a “most wonderful man” in each one! Yeah, life is very, very good. All the best to you and yours!
I’m with Euty - all the same reasons as yesterday, except Bob will be here in about two hours.
But this morning I noticed that a birds nest in the Magnolia outside my back door is actually being used by a pair of what I think are mourning doves: http://www.gwf.org/library/kids/kid_dove.htm
I forgot to add the fact that I will be going to Disney World at the beginning of June. With my family. It will be great! I haven’t been there for 15 years. Wheeee!
I have a few reasons to be happy for awhile. I met and am marying a wonderful man and I am going to spend the rest of my life with him. I have a beautiful, healthy, happy ten year old daughter and she just happens to also be a good kid. To top it off we are expecting a baby that is due November 2[sup]nd[/sup]!
