Very quickly skimmed the OP and share Pie’s envy. Gotta go back to work to finish packing, then I’ll come home and (I hope) read and look at pictures and comment properly…
Hugs.

Gorgeous pix, Puggy! I’m horrendously jealous, as Italy is one of the places on my ever-growing list of Trips I Must Take Before I Croak (Or Become Unable To Fly). It looks like you guys had a blast.
Pooh. I didn’t get a chance to say bye to LiLi (if you’re lurking, missy, I am most miffed you picked a day I had no web access to go poof… hmph…)
However, I am in a magnanimous and forgiving mood as I’ve been released from attending the remainder of the stupid course they’d scheduled me to attend this week, which means I get to work downtown after all. Yay! I get to sleep!
Also good is the fact that this means I will have internet to keep myself amused (as opposed to noodling around on Facebook via my cell phone), though chances are that I will be somewhat scarce as I’ve got a metric assload of [del]crap[/del] work waiting for me. Apparently no one was kind enough to do it for me while I was gone. More hmph.
Sorry you’re still sick, FCM. That blows chunks, if you’ll pardon the obvious pun.
Welcome back, Haze! You were missed… sounds like personal time was definitely needed, though, and I’m sorry things ended up as they did. Looking forward to Halloween pix!
I’m just gonna leave a big pile of hugs, kisses, yays, boos, etc for the rest of you to distribute amongst yourselves as needed… dinner needs making, and for some odd reason, the cats don’t seem to be inclined to make it.
I’ve been reading along all day. As a result, any comments that I’d like to make have been lost to the sands of time…
We are unusually slow tomorrow. I suspect that my clients were hesitant to schedule lunches on election day, figuring that people might be gone during the lunch hour so that they could vote.
Almost forgot to mention… I replaced tube in my tv all by myself and I lived to tell the tale!
What kind of TV do you have? I haven’t had a TV that used tubes in 20 years. And that sucker ate 4BZ6 tuner tubes like popcorn.
I’m not looking forward to school tomorrow. The local polling place is at the college in the lot where I usually I park. (I’ve already voted). I figure I should be okay in the morning (my class starts at 9), but afterwards it might be a pain.
Which reminds me that I haven’t read the articles we’re going to be discussing tomorrow. Crap. goes and prints those
Tupug,
Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us.
Great pics.
I am green with envy.
Get out and Vote tomorrow if you haven’t already.
Vote early and Vote often.
We are on the brink of history!!!
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. I’d rather be asleep though. Such is life.
All you Amurrkin Mumpers that have not done so already, don’t forget to vote. As for me I’ve been there done that got the little sticker.
Goin’ in search of more caffiene and brekkies.
Later Y’all!
Gee, I think it’s election day somewhere…
Newspapers here seem to be in a state of “taking Obama’s victory for granted while reminding themselves that it can’t be cooked until it’s been killed.”
Off to try and convince my clients that one of the things some of them want us to do is Bad For Them.

hi guys
remember me?
No. Who are you?
Welcome back, stranger.
Blurf[sup]2[/sup]. I came in waaaay early so I can leave waaaay early to vote.
I have a rare (for me) weeknight shift tonight on the bambilance. I’m working on my precept time so I can get all 96 hours in before Turkey Week. I’m planning on going to Indianner, seein’ how we’ve not been back for 2 years. So far, the people mentoring me have been happy with my mad EMT skillz…
Thursday, I get to do 6 hours in the ICU at the horsepistol in Betsytown. Yee-haw.
Carry on.
Vote Chicago-style!
I’ll rise, but I won’t shine, dammit.
Back later with more words, after caffeine and brekkie have been consumed.
Hey people!
**Pugs **-- great OP. Haven’t checked our the pics yet; looking forward to doing so!
Li-li, you will be missed.
**Haze **-- second (16[sup]th[/sup]?) request for Halloween pics! Sorry about the drama you’ve been through, but the result is most likely for the best.
**Spaz **-- what happened?
Just to try and cheer you up, I love your “new” hair! Looks almost exactly the same color as mine, 20 years ago… :o
All you US people – if you haven’t yet, get out there, vote early and often!
blurf
Caffienation will commence in a couple of minutes.
And yes, of course I’m going to vote. Later.

I have successfully participated in the peaceful overthrow of my government.
Thanks everybody for the nice comments about the OP. My brother (photographer) will be very pleased to know you liked his pics…especially, since the camera was new.
Heh, he put the bug in my ear for a future trip (Ireland, UK, Paris) in about three years. I started looking for accommodations yesterday.
I am all agog about living in historical times what with today being an historical day, no matter which way it goes. I do have my druthers about that but, well, no matter.
Off to find an elections result site.
Tupug
It’s a 1947 Stromberg-Carlson. I bought it at an Antique Television convention that TVMan and I attended a couple years ago.
Of course we remember you! We were worried when you disappeared. Where’ve you been? What’s new?
Sorry about the TMJ, Shadow. And yay on the organizer. Good luck with de-cluttering!
I’ve voted already, and I have to say, I love my voting site. No line, no problems, just in and vote and out. (OK so it took a bit longer than that 'cause of the loooooooong list of judges. But otherwise it was fast.) And I have my sticker.
Popping in to say hi!
I voted last week - no lines at all! This sure is an exciting day, huh?
Welcome backs, boos, yays, as required…
: poof! :
Just got done voting. I now have the inalienable right to bitch about the government. Non-voters don’t get to bitch.
If you’re one of them furriners, you can still vote today! Just go here and take part in my entirely sexist vote about what to do with my cheerleader calendars. (That’s right, I’m being a shill for my own thread. Politics is dirty, ain’t it?)
