Hagen-Daz Rum Raisin ice cream. I always plan on making it two servings, one for tomorrow. But the darn containers are tapered and I can never tell when I am exactly half way through it, and, and… you know.

There are several foods I prefer to buy in small bags — almonds, cookies, chips, popcorn, chocolate bars, hummus — if I buy them at all. A serving of popcorn is “one bag” regardless of size. Portion control isn’t perfect, obviously, but works fairly well for me much of the time.
Tim Tams, the Prince of biscuits.
I don’t want to talk about it… <shame>
What, no carrot sticks? No low sodium gluten free brown rice wafers?
Without planning it? Hmm. I think I am open to whatever. Usually it’s oreos.
Tide Pods.
I’m with the people here who practice, “If I don’t have it, I can’t eat it.” LoL
Oh, I always give up all sweets for Lent. As soon as I do, it seems like everyone is offering me treats. :smack:
You make it sound like that’s a bad thing.
I’ve recently rediscovered homemade Chex party mix (I use Gordetto’s rye chips as one of the ingredients) and make up about a gallon’s worth so it will fit in a zip-lock bag. After more than one incident where I reached the end of a movie and the end of a just-filled bag at the same time, I pour a smaller amount into a dish then manfully resist the insistent urge to refill the dish when it runs out all too soon.
Does anyone here understand this language? I’m curious as to what they’re saying.
I see those in Aldi. I think they’re orange flavored? I’ll take a look again when I go.
There are so many divine things in Aldi, I hardly know what to buy! (I am partial to marzipan ‘anythings’ when I see it there and grab it, mostly candy- so sick of peanut and chocolate, peanut and chocolate, peanut and chocolate. )
I’ve also seen them at Halloween, with green ooze inside.
Edited, as the part about the Cadbury eggs didn’t some through.
Usually I get disappointed when someone tries to sell me on a national sweet, but these are pretty good.
I think we’re talking about something else??? I, and NDP I think, meant these guys:
Completely hard, and they also come in red/green/white “ornament” balls around Christmas.
Cadbury Creme eggs are very different. I will impulse buy one every Easter, but more for tradition than any large enjoyment. They’re kind of cloying.
Pistachios. Due to dental problems I hadn’t even attempted to eat on in almost 4 years. Now that I can again, I see my habit of eating the entire bag is still alive and well. Too bad (or maybe it’s for the better) they’re so damned expensive.
It’s truly evil they now sell big bags of shelled Pistachios. I’ve bought a couple bags at Sams Club. They didn’t last very long.
The one thing that slows me down is popping Pistachios out of the shells. The pile of shells is a good reminder it’s time to stop.
That’s why I prefer buying them in the shells.
Agreed. Having to bust them open like an otter with a clam creates a nice work/reward ratio. Something about the delay while extracting the morsel just makes it that much more satisfying. Oddly, I find the opposite with sunflower seeds. I tire of them pretty easily if they’re in the shell but I’ll definitely eat a whole bag of shelled seeds at one sitting.
Ruffles sour cream & onion potato chips. Also Hanover honey mustard pretzel bits.
Over on the favorite cookie thread I said that my fave store-bought cookies are Mother’s Iced Animal Crackers. So last week when I went to the grocery store, I very cleverly bought the box containing a bunch of individual bags of the cookies. Ha ha, I thought. Then I won’t sit and unconsciously eat the whole bag in one sitting. But I wound up consciously going through the box of little bags in two days. Kind of defeats the purpose.
Moral: I CANNOT have that stuff in the house. Not one molecule of will power or self-control.
^^My brother from another mother. What’s truly frightening is that finishing off a box of Triscuits isn’t even enough to stop it if you have a second box in the cupboards.
Also: any red licorice
Lots of things. Microwave popcorn, M&Ms, Turtles, blackberries, trail mix.
Cracklin’ Oat Bran cereal (with milk, of course). And yes, there are, um, consequences to eating an entire box of these fibrous bits, but I don’t care. A true glutton for punishment, I suppose.
Oh, and Blue Bell ______ Cheesecake Ice Cream. Blueberry, strawberry, chocolate turtle pecan, whatever version. It’s seasonal, and we don’t see those flavors often anymore, but to me, it’s so much tastier than the standard Blue Bell offerings.
