Well, I’ve been here for a couple of days, long, long time lurker, and I’ve tried to just jump right in and talk on threads… but in truth, I’m very shy. I do try, though! I’ve noticed many other new ones starting these type of threads, and not to clog up things too much, but I guess it’s the only way I can get myself in the game, so to speak.
I’m 26, I got married this past February, and moved to Seattle. I’ve lived in the Boulevard Park area for the past year or so, and just last week moved to the Ballard area. I’m originally from New Brunswick, Canada.
Currently, I am a housewife, since it isn’t yet possible for me to work, but we’re working on that. I would like to return to school, but I am so scatterbrained, I’m not sure for what yet. I am interested in music, art, and writing.
For the moment, though, I am just concentrating on keeping my husband’s and my apartment tidy, and trying to get out more and make new friends. As I mentioned above, I am shy, so I have a hard time. If any of you are from this area, give me a smile or a wave in the street - you’ll recognise me - I’m the damn fool grinning at everybody like a French-Canadian! Where I’m from, we smile, or nod, or wave to EVERYBODY, even strangers… and since moving here, I smile at everyone, even though they are usually not making any eye contact).
