My boyfriend’s step-mom’s brother and his wife just had their baby yesterday. It was a little bit early, seeing as it was born at 34 weeks! Apparently she’s healthy and there were no complications following from the c-section. We received the email about 5 minutes ago. My boyfriend’s father, being a doctor, made the effort to send us all the relevent details: time, size, weight, method of delivery.
Notice how there’s no name or gender on that list? We had to call just now and find out. It’s a girl, named Gabrielle. I can’t wait to see them next and see the baby! They are a really close family, and as a result I know them pretty well, so I am so excited for them! Although I guess this means there’s no chance she’ll be born on my birthday, which was her due date 
gabrielle is a cool name. will you be seeing the tykelet soon?
Just so you know, the baby is your boyfriend’s step-first cousin, and, should you marry your boyfriend, she would be your step-first cousin-in-law.
I know these sorts of things, because my grandfathers have had eight wives between the two of them, and I am always having to figure out these sorts of relationships.
