At this very moment my sister-in-law is in labor at a hospital in Delaware. My brother is keeping me updated via cell phone.
I haven’t had a feeling one way or the other about what the sex of the child might be. Until last night, that is. My bro called at 11:45 PM Minnesota time and left a message on our answering machine, saying that they were at the hospital and that her contractions were 4 minutes apart. When I heard that message, I got an overwhelming idea that they’re going to have a girl.
I get to go to Delaware next month to see my brother and his child on Father’s Day.
Congrats, Cant! I love being an aunt. I have 14 nieces and nephews and one great-niece (heh, and I’m only 26) and it rocks. I’m the fun aunt, which means that every Christmas I get first dibs playing with all of their toys.
You are going to have SUCH a blast with Reagan. Here’s a fun way to annoy your brother, too. Every time she does something cute, say “She takes after me so much!” When she’s crying, say “Hmmm. She must get that from you.”
