Hoping things work out for Isabelle & Hurricane. The waiting game is hard.
That reminds me of my SO’s dad who went thru the same thing & then said the same thing, except at that time he was “only” 80. Swore up & down he didn’t want another cat. He’s a stubborn guy.
In spite of that we went & got him one from the local shelter several months later. They became inseparable almost immediately & the cat still basically runs the house. That was 12 years ago & both are doing pretty darned well for their ages.
