Let’s not forget One Night In Bangkok from Chess, by Björn and Benny:

Okay, add me to the list. I love ABBA, too. “Dancing Queen”, “Fernando”…earworms all. What’s not to love?
Phil
“The Visitors”.
“The Way Old Friends Do”.
My two favourites. Though I also like “Eagle”…

…“Our Last Summer”… “Cassandra”…
I like the beginning guitar instrumentals in “When I Kissed The Teacher”, though the events described in the song seem a bit off to me now.
Though I dislike "“I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do”, and I hate “The Day Before You Came”.
Don’t get me wrong. ABBA wrote really good songs, but they are earbugs of the worst order. I lived through ABBA in the seventies, and it took an unholy combination of post punk and speed metal to finally drive their songs out of my head. Now they are back with a vengeance.
Give me, give me, give me a man after midnight
Argh!!!
My wife and I went to Mamma Mia on stage; it was a tradeoff to be able to see Avenue Q.
Fear not. Playing some Captain Beefheart will clean those earworms right out.
YESSSS!
I fucking love Journey!

Just a small town girl living in a loooooonely wooorld…
My wife had a friend who A-DORED Air Supply. Followed them around from one Wal-Mart parking lot to the other. One day at her apartment after seeing a picture of her next to a sweet looking little old cardigan-clad lady on her fridge, I asked, who’s this, your gramma? She shrieks in horror “THAT’S RUSSELL, THE LEAD SINGER OF AIR SUPPLY!”.
That’s all I have to say about that.
Re: The OP
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, no more FAH-KING Abba. (100 points if you get the reference)
Luckily, my first and last exposure to Abba was an ancient music video with a scratchy mono sound track. After 12 seconds I sprinted away in horror. But a couple shots of NIN had me back on my feet again. Scary shiny happy people.
“Goodbye, Ralph!”
So are the BeeGees okay then?
(I like disco. Possibly because I’m too young to have lived through it)
GAAAAAHHHHHH!

Okay, THIS is sad: I wasn’t an ABBA fan in the 70’s and I’d never paid any attention to them or their music. Fast forward to 2006 or so, and my husband took me to the ABBA stage show. Again, I don’t know or recognize many ABBA songs, others I recognize vaguely but don’t realize ABBA were the artists.
So we see the show, and I LOVED it! Sang along, had a great time, and now I kinda sorta like ABBA. Kind of. For a song or two.
The really weird thing is, my husband is pretty much the last person on the planet I would have tagged as an ABBA fan, but fan he is/was. He digs Eric Clapton, Ten Years After, Elvin Bishop, George Clinton, Mountain, ZZ Top, all the British Blues guys, and . . . ABBA. WTF?
It shows I’m a youngster when the song title ‘Gimme Gimme Gimme’ reminds me of this, not ABBA: (not porn but probably NSFW) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xQMreFRAITU&feature=related
