Hitler?
I was wondering this also… missed that.
LA, or NYC I would like most everyone else recognize instantly. SLC, not so much.
So now I am wondering what other US cities or instantly known by their initials?
Well, now he has my vote…
Eeeeeeeeeew! The mayonnaise is supposed to be piping hot!
The tears of needy children.
Atlanta is often called as “The ATL”, which is our airport’s destination code.
Jacksonville, FL is referred to as JAX by locals and ex-locals. It’s the city’s airport code as well.
(I couldn’t come up with a better comment about Mittens than gigi’s “the tears of needy children”.)
SF for San Francisco is a plausible candidate.
DFW, KC and NOLA are kind of semi-common.
DC springs to mind.
Perhaps SF: San Francisco? Maybe that’s a local thing.
ETA: oh I see LSLGuy already had that.

3 of the worst restaurants I’ve ever eaten at were in Salt Lake City. Apropos of nothing.
Strangely, the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had was in New Mexico. The best being in Kansas of all places.
Carry on Kicking Mitt.

Hey, Kansas, especially in the early 20th century, had a lot of folks come up from Mexico. Here in Topeka a lot of them worked for the Santa Fe railroad. There is an annual Fiesta Mexicana, to support the Our Lady of Guadalupe parish school, that this year will be held for the 82nd year. The following is a link to last year’s events.
The food is great, it really is. And if you Google "Mexican fiesta Kansas you’ll get a lot of hits.
Hutchinson, Kansas has the Anchor Inn, with really good Mexican food, if you ever pass through there.
It was in fact Topeka, Kansas where I had the best fajitas and guacamole I’ve ever not made myself.
So, good on ya!
Please, proceed, governor!
You didn’t order fajitas in New Mexico, by any chance, did you? If so, that would explain your disappointment. New Mexico isn’t the place for Tex-Mex, or even really authentic Mexican; it has its own cuisine. You’re better off with a carne adovada burrito, or stuffed sopapilla, or green chile stew, etc.
Of course, there are restaurants that do these things better than others.
