I’m currently looking at approximately 687 webmaster emails that I need to answer. I’ve just run out of time – I have to be out shortly – but I’ll come back and get in touch with everybody. I do want to make sure everybody is back on and okay.

It’s just part of what we have to do sometimes. To everyone who may have felt disregarded today, you aren’t, not really – I’ve just been swamped beyond what one person can do in 8 hours and I do apologize.

How do you admin/mods not know what happened? Isn’t there like an error log or something for the website somewhere?

Most of us aren’t that sort of mod/admin. I don’t even know where such a log would be located, or if I have access to it. Yes, I’m an admin*, but I don’t do anything more technically complicated than click the button that says “ban this person as a spammer” for the most part. There are a lot of administrative functions that most of us with Admin as a title don’t have access to.

*Yes, I know my title says Creature of the Night. I’m mostly retired, but I retain admin privileges. Because I have not only the pictures, but the negatives.
