That joke(?) aside, I think Anaamika has found that she is a fluffy person on line. shrug Takes all kinds. I doubt a post was necessary, but she does seem to be genuinely concerned about the direction the board is taking. I don’t think that concern is necessary, but I’m not going to rip her a new one for feeling that way.

See this post, appearing on page 3, after the target of her ire has already apologized for the comments that set her off. Notice that she didn’t actually contribute constructively to the subject matter of the thread. Notice also that when it was called to her attention that she should perhaps have read more carefully before flying off the handle, she didn’t bother to come back and acknowledge her mistake. Nope, one single post in a 5 page thread and her entire contribution was to break the rules of the forum and commit the same offense she’s whining about here.
Perhaps she’s right and she does need a break.

I note that there are a few descriptives of “attention whore” being directed at the author of the OP. I have not seen this in her previous posts, IMHO. Perhaps, instead of attempting to provoke sympathy with or even understanding of her position (we see how well that worked), she was setting the stage to have her point proven for her. Perhaps she succeeded in this?

In fairness, I only defended it out of spite for people like you, which I feel is still a validly pit-ish motive.
I may well have registered a while back, but did not start posting here on regular basis (make that at all) until about 6-9 months ago. So, I consider myself not exactly new, but newish.

Many of you have commented, and you have an arguable point, that the Board has gone down hill since P2P. Do you remember why we went to P2P? The main reason was that our usage here was too much for the Reader’s resources to handle. Right?
The administration tried a few things to avoid having to go to a paid system. One of them was trying to get us to stop with the game threads, post count parties and other fluff. We, as a community, were unable to self-police, the fluff continued and now we have to pay to post here. The excess of fluff is what caused the problem and now it’s too late to go back.
