Perhaps “society” is not the living, breathing thinking organism you think it is. Maybe there’s just this “thing” called society comprised of a bunch of people, most of which don’t tolerate anything they don’t understand, on an individual level. A tiny, tiny few of the more bellicose with similar opinions are even presumptuous enough to believe they represent “society.” Thanks for clearing that up!
You’re doing an excellent job representing your segment of political society - keep up the good work! We’ll re-visit again in another three years or so and see if your approach is working yet.
It’s good to keep your understanding of complex matters like this on the simpler side. It will help ease your frustration if/when the patently obvious reality ever sinks in.
Again - keep up the good work! You are already making inroads to the next election, just not in the way you might think.
-Not to people with a basic understanding of human nature. Some will learn from it, most will not. The resultant hysteria fuels their return to the breech for the next cycle.
With regard to mocking Trump:
Your benevolent, egalitarian attitude reeks with dishonesty and frustration. The sooner you realize “everybody else” is never going to agree with you, the sooner you can move forward into adult life where mature, rational people focus more on things other than mockery and insults.
What a presumtuous little twit you must be, speaking for “everybody else.” Trump has proven he does not need what you call “genuine supporters.” The candidate’s “genuine supporter” label is reserved for politically blind Clintonites, whose limited cognitive abilities are more suitable to blindly following whatever trash and lies their listed party affiliation calls for.
The sooner people start separating good and bad into actual definable events, the sooner they may realize there is no over-arching good/bad anything in politics. Most will simply prefer the easy “Trump bad” attiude. It makes great Dope-Pit material, so WTH. And an equally inept subset from the right will just keep saying “Clinton badder” until he-she-it fades from memory.
Big fucking surprise, right there.
What a person “is” and what they “do” are related, yet distinct concepts. To insinuate a moron can be elected President of the U.S. seems to me, a reflection on the country, as a whole. May we also expect you will revel in the utterly total and complete failure of our government as well? That would be consistent with a moron being in control and your attitude on the topic.
Enjoy the frustration stemming from your little name-calling tirade. It’s bound to get worse, as you creep deeper and deeper into denial.
That pretty clearly illustrates the extent of your knowledge on the topic. Thanks for the insight!
Not everybody else is expected to agree with me. The point is that mocking Trump exposes his numerous major shortcomings for everybody else to see, if they choose to look.

Trump has proven he does not need what you call “genuine supporters.”

Well, he’s proven he doesn’t need a whole lot of them, at least. It’s the “everybody else” who voted for him without really sincerely supporting him who are in for a severe bout of buyer’s remorse.
Answers to these are the only reason I keep reading this thread (that, and finding out which posters I’ve never heard of before are Trumpistas).
Even at work here, in real life, some people say how bad it was under Obama. What are they talking about? Answers, people! What was so bad under Obama?
America WAS already great! I hope it will be great again. The next four years, I’m not so sure.
I would say that attempting to ignore what the Republicans and conservatives opposed to Trump said is a good idea. Unless you want to make the point that most of those conservatives were inept.
I would not say that attempting to ignore what the Republicans and conservatives opposed to Trump said is a good idea. Unless you want to make the point that most of those conservatives were inept, and you will be wrong too.
I surely am. I know that occasional assholes make threats (which certainly aren’t confined to any particular side), but what speech is routinely shut down by threats of violence in the US?
No, sorry - just explaining your lack of understanding WRT the concept of “society.” It is affirmed once again, by your lack of understanding in your response. Thanks for coming clean on that point!
