I'm gonna have to pit all you butt-hurt snowflakes

That’s no way to talk about Martin Shkreli.

Are you implying I am (or should be) waiting diligently at my computer, compulsively hitting “refresh” in eager anticipation of your posts so I can dash off an instant reply? That’s rather presumptuous of you. I was instead diverted by the rather banal business of living my life and I oh-so-regret placing that above this conversation in my priorities list.

Well, not that it matters, but I recognized the Sneetches reference immediately. Of course, there’s no way to prove it, but I did spend a few minutes looking through YouTube for the animated version (which I’d seen in childhood and which left an impression) because on one such posting, I offered a rhyming comment using the phrase “body obsessions”. If I could find it, its posting date of several years ago would demonstrate that I was familiar with the story long before your post. I wouldn’t be interested in collecting your ball, though. I have enough of them already.

I tried the search again (using my typical YouTube ID, “Bryan514”) this morning and found this video with a comment of mine I’d forgotten that made me chuckle more than anything you’ve offered.

We don’t have such a society. When has this happened? A large protest that is successful doesn’t mean that there was any “threat of violence”.

Couples were fighting over him at the adoption agency.

“You take him.”
“No, YOU take him.”

I gather soneone saying “I don’t like what that guy is saying” looks like Krystallnacht to someone who finds comfort in simplicity.

Criticize him all you want if he screws up. That’s what we did with Obama, and if Trump screws up, that’s what we will do with him as well. But stop with all the Chicken Little sky-is-falling end of the world bullshit simply because he got elected.

He’s said a lot of dumb things, and keeps doing so. It’s reasonable to criticize him for saying dumb things.

Most of the people that pointed out that Bush the lesser was going to be bad for America were right. The same (and a good number from the right too) people are saying that Trump will not be good either.

Really, one doesn’t need to be so smart to realize that, but with so many boots to the head you have an excuse.

Huh. Do you lack all self-awareness?

No point to it. Republican legislators have that covered.

LOL. Is anyone surprised that Clothahump is a complete and utter hypocrite?

Any explanation for your hypocrisy, Clothahump?

Trump screws up every day–and every night, when he does his Sundowning Tweets. Even if he screws up so badly that the Republican Congress talks impeachment–his “victory” ensured that a more biddable President Pence can continue their agenda.

I do feel sorry for you, living in such a big, diverse city. Which generally votes Democratic–like the other Texas cities. We went for Clinton with a bigger margin than Obama got, either time. And down ballot Democratic candidates did well.

So you stay inside & take refuge online. Perhaps you ought to concentrate on the “safer” pro-Trump websites.

We won’t shut up.

Simple. He’s a complete and utter moron.

The mere fact that he got elected is an affront to all we value in this country, or at least I would have thought so. the sky may or may not fall, but he’s a repulsive piece of shit with small hands, and I will criticize him every chance I get. If he can be 1/10 of what Obama has been, I’ll apologize and sing his praises.

New and completely accurate “This Modern World” cartoon.

“Bitten by a radioactive toddler…”

Got to admire his understated and subtle approach to interior design. Gold is the new gold, and more gold, even more so! Though, maybe gold foil toilet tissue is a bit much. Wife probably has a stash of Charmin hidden away somewhere in the bathroom.

What Obama has been for you, you mean. You do understand that there are many people who disagree with the direction in which Obama was leading the nation? It’s called politics. If Trump can do as effective a job for the right as Obama has done for the left then I will be a happy man.

^ That. ^

He is afflicted with an inability to correctly perceive the reality of what’s in front of him. He appears to actually perceive up as down, black as white, good as bad, etc. Consistently, too, so hypocrisy arguably doesn’t apply.

Kinda depends, doesn’t it, on whether there is a difference between a conservative and a reactionary?

Honestly, I don’t understand it. I do understand a difference of opinion on this or that, I’ve had a couple myself. But the “direction” of the nation has been objectively fine recently. Steady, intelligent and competent leadership is a bipartisan value. The opposite should be rejected by all.
