I'm hungry. What's for dinner?

That’s the cutest thing I’ve heard all day. Push a raisin through the phone!

A spinach-and-cheese beef pinwheel and sliced tomatoes. Mmmmm.

It appears the leftover steak may be gone by the time I get home, it takes too long to thaw a chicken… Wait a moment, there may be two thawed pork chops and some tater tots. Or maybe a grilled cheese sandwich with ramen.

Corned beef and cabbage delived by the St. Patrick’s Day Elf. No really. My mom’s friend who could pass for an elf. And who was supposed to come for dinner but found out she couldn’t stay. But still dropped by with about a 1000 pounds of corned beef. So stop by any time you want, we’ll be eating corned beef for the rest of the year.

Tom Yum soup with a side of garlic bread.

It’s not leftovers cobbled together it’s, um, fusion. :dubious:

Since I’m sick, it’s canned soup and green grapes, with 7-Up as a beverage. Maybe a popsicle, if I can summon the energy after all that to go to the freezer.

My hubby works out of town during the week, so on weeknights, it’s just me, EtherealFreakOfPinkness, who’s 15 (but won’t let me forget that she’ll soon be 16) and mudgirl, who’s 7. Therefore, weeknight dinners are very simple affairs designed to be:
appealing to kids
easy and quick to cook
easy to clean up after.

Tonight will be hot dogs cooked in beans, and buttered whole wheat bread. Tomorrow, frozen pizza (Freschetta; it’s the best I’ve tried), doctored with some of my own toppings.

Kraft Macaroni and Cheese! Food of the Gods!

Yes, I’m pathetic…

Puppies, kittens, and children.

My dear, dear husband believes that there should be a federal law against serving any starch besides mac n cheese with fish sticks. We buy some fish sticks at Costco called “Ultimate Fish Sticks” and they are very good. Don’t do the Stouffer’s mac n cheese, though. I buy the cheap-ass stuff at the market, use the powder in it to flavor Dreamfield’s macaroni elbows, and then add extra cheese and milk to make it extra-creamy and extra-cheesy.

I’m recovering from an operation and am having no appetite nor any care as to whether or not I eat. I suppose I will eventually, but right now I’m gonna say “nothin”

3 quesadillas (one corn tortilla each with melted Chihuaha cheese - no dog jokes, thank you), 1 ripe-on-the-vine tomato (expensive, but contains actual flavor). Not sure what else. Maybe just a green salad. It’s warm out, (mid-seventies Fahrenheit), so summery food seems appealing. And something with chocolate for dessert.

We’re going out, probably for Turkish food, since Mr. Neville’s aunt, uncle, and cousins will be stopping by. I don’t think they’ve had Turkish food before, and there’s a yummy Turkish restaurant in our town.

Are you of British heritage? All people of British heritage are allowed to combine radically different cuisines into one meal, anytime they want to. The reason… oh, something to do with the empire

Pork + soy sauce + pineapple juice = Hawaiian Pork (that’s what I am having)

or you could try

Pork + soy sauce + pineapple juice + grilled mushrooms + sliced pineapple + provolone cheese = Very good

or if you have more time:

sirloin(cube) + oregano + ginger + garlic salt + vegetable oil + soy sauce. Let it sit for a day or so. Put on a stick like a kabob. Then grill with onions, bell peppers and tomatoes. Very good stuff.

Fire bean burritos. (What, I hear you ask are fire bean burritos? They’re made with homemade refried beans, extra onions, and several habaneros diced into the beans. Very, very hot. Very, very tasty. But you can feel them leaving the ‘building.’)

Mac~N~Cheese…the home-made version…w/ butternut squash IN it…

A nice big salad – romaine lettuce, veggies (cuke, avocado, asparagus), grilled chicken, a sprinkling of Gorgonzola, Italian dressing. burp

'Twas good.

I just finished some corned beef, roasted Yukon gold potatoes and a green salad.

Just finished off 2 buttery crossiants! Yummy! Ate some Mozzarella cheese slices before that.

I was going to say "tomato bisque and a grilled cheese (pepperjack) sandwich, but gardentraveller’s mention of quesadillas has peaked my taste buds.

Well, whatever I have, it will have cheese in it!
