They’re pretty yummy as long as the tomato sauce has the proper amount of seasoning. Mmmmmm.
It’s our McDonald’s night*, so that means a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal. sigh There was once a time when I thought I’d never get tired of McDonald’s…
*I have excuses.
Last night I had a Mrs. Budd’s chicken pot pie, which is my favorite kind. Tonight my boyfriend and I will be celebrating the “steak” part of Steak & BJ Day at our local Outback. Tomorrow night will most likely be frozen Boston Market mac-n-cheese, which totally kicks Stouffer’s mac-n-cheese’s ass.
Ohmygod I love porcupine meatballs! I haven’t thought of them in years, but my mom used to make them every now and then. Yum.
Well, I could certainly eat steak tonight if I wanted to, but since my hubby works out of town during the week, I think he’d be pissed if I did anything to celebrate the BJ part of it!
You could always call him and describe one…
Well, tonight was going to be sea bass en papillote, but since I just found out it’s steak & BJ day, it’ll be sesame crusted filet mignons with mango relish.
We divide the labor in our house. I make the steak…
Tomato soup (made with milk) and Ritz crackers.
No steak.
None of that other thing, either.
Linguine with homemade spaghetti sauce. Not sure about what else yet.

I would if he was into that kind of thing (over the phone, I mean; in person, he’s definitely into it). Fact is, I used to get paid to do phone sex, was a very popular operator. But he never really saw the appeal.
Could have something to do with the fact that, many nights, he saw me playing solitaire or filing my nails while I was moanin’ and groanin’!
Steak and BJ day? Where did this come from? And why wasn’t I informed?
(We’re having store-bought six-cheese lasagna and green salad tonight. My shoulder will allow me to open a box and stick the tray in the oven. )
Since this is basically a poll, I’ll move it to IMHO fer ya.
Bon Appétit!

I season the meatballs themselves, the tomato sauce is just tomato sauce and worchestershire. Sometimes I misjudge though and they taste rather bland (which annoys me) but when they’re good they’re good.
My Grandma makes them, so I took her recipe (what I knew of it) and what I found online (mostly temp and cooking time) and made my own.
We ended up having hamburgers tonight, but I think this weekend shall call for porcupines.
I made corned beef with cabbage and some carrots and onions in the crock pot, cooked over low heat for 10 hours.
Came out REAAAL good.
Are you my mother?
Well I am almost done a spinach salad with blueberries, pear, pecans, and a raspberry vinaigrette dressing sprinkled with a FANTASTIC goats cheese, oh and a side of pita bread.
On the way home from work tonight, I stopped in at a nearby roadhouse for prime rib au jus on a garlic bun. Life is good.
I once ate porcupine and a few other critters, having forgotten to bring food on a back-country ski trip.
I’ve never forgotten to pack food since then.
That’s not the worst thing posted. ScareyFaerie ate a Swede.
(From her post: “Tonight I will be concocting something out of the contents of my fridge/vegbox. That’s carrots, parsnips, onions, tomatoes, turnip, swede, cabbage, cauliflower, spinach and chillies.”)
[sub]What the hell is “swede,” anyway?[/sub]
Potato. Please, don’t ask me why, can’t answer that one.
What’s for dinner? I dunno. I can make spaghetti; tuna noodle casserole; a ham and feta omelette with tater tots; grilled american cheese and soup.
First, I gotta get my clothes out of the dryer!
Now that certainly is a scary faerie.
