I like Kelly and Tamyra, but think that Kelly should probably be singing musicals on Broadway or something, she has a VERY strong voice, and I think it would suit that genre.
Tamyra has a lovely voice, but something about her, I dunno, leaves me cold.
I just really like Nikki. Not sure why, I guss maybe the underdog thing. She has style and I like her.

Yeah, that “no ear” thing, annieclaus? That was me. I just honestly didn’t think Tamyra would get voted off, since I saw the bottom two as a competition between Nikki and Justin.
At least she took it with dignity, and perhaps being voted off right now (with Simon waiting right by those stairs with a record deal) isn’t the worst thing that could have happened. Think of how rushed the first album will be from whoever wins this competition, whereas those who have been voted off earlier will have time to perhaps develop better stuff, you know?
Nikki needs to find Ralph Lauren and represent him (modeling), Most of his models have eyes to die for and so does Nikki.

Tamyra needs to go back to Atlanta do another pageant. Tony Braxton. Mariah Carey. Whitney (screaming) Houston. Pattie LeBelle. We already have them. Maybe she is talented, but I really don’t like her attitude. She has gone from confidant to snotty and TOO self assured.
Justin…What can I say? He is absolutely adorable even tho’ my guy was RJ. Gorgeous like Mario Lopez. I want to see RJ in some mag ads selling jeans :-))))
Sooooo - That leaves Kelly. The undisputed WINNER. She is the sweetest thing in the world and I believe will remain down-home even in the spotlight. She can sing it all; pop,rock,easy listening, broadway, ANYTHING. I TRULY LOVE THIS SHOW.

kelly: kick ass voice and energetic. she deserves to win.
nikki: i love her rocker style and she’s beautiful. her voice isn’t as good as the others but good enough.
tamyra: AWESOME voice, and very pretty. but doesn’t show much personality onstage. i’m glad she was the one to leave.
Tamyra’s better off losing now. She made it to the final 4, she had the three judges on her side, she’s got the talent and the looks. She’s actually got a chance to go somewhere.
I have a feeling the winner of this will be a one-trick-pony. The “losers” will have a better shot of going somewhere without just being a novelty.
Remember MTV’s “Who wants to be a VJ?” when that spaz Jesse Camp won because the idiots at home tossed all their idiot votes for him? Well, if you recall, he went on to have minimal airtime for one year, then he was gone. Whereas the runner-up, Dave Holmes, actually had talent and the network hired him as an actual VJ-- not just a novelty for one year.
People watching TV at home don’t always know how to make the best choice. That’s why God created personnel directors and record execs. And that’s why these “You Pick 'Em” contests/TV shows usually produce lame results.

Actually, smart move. She’ll get more out of stepping down by choice and doing what many will believe is the honorable thing than she would have by going through the motions of getting the boot next week.
Makes me sad. I hope they don’t bring back Tamyra, or that Tamyra turns them down if they ask. Screw it…end the show next week.

I can’t believe Tamyra got booted. With Kelly, they were the class of the competition. Sideshow Justin and Nikki “Here’s another loud flat note” McKibbin survive??? WTF?
Tamyra’s performance wasn’t her best, but sheesh, Nikki and Justin have been getting thru by the skin of their teeth for weeks now. All their voices are getting tired and hurting, but Tamyra was the best or second best every week.
I saw a newspaper article about how people are getting these speedialing machines,or what have you, and flooding the switchboards with votes. I think we know who has them now.
Kelly’s got to be the happiest person alive today, that’s fo sho. The three best people aren’t up there anymore.
Nikki stays and Tamyra goes. Phooey. I don’t think the voters are even listening the kids’ singing anymore, they’re just voting for who they think is RILLY SUPER KEWLIES!!! They contestants may as well of stood up there in their underwear and mimed for three minutes. Justin sucked ass with his PYT but his caterwauling (and deaf) teenage fans love him anyway. As for Nikki…the less I say the better.
Tamyra, Kelly and fillintheblank. Someone a few weeks ago said it doesn’t matter who gets booted, it’ll come down to Tamyra & Kelly in the final. I thought that would happen.
Personally I like Nikki when she sings the slower stuff, not the loud stuff which is what the 3 ‘experts’ say. And Kelly should lose that growl.
I just watched this show for the first time this week, so I don’t have the background of having seen past performances. Even so, I am astonished that Tamyra got the boot versus Nikki.
Tamyra was definitely weak on her first song, but I thought she recovered very well with the second, which was much better suited to her voice.
Nikki seems very sweet, and she is incredibly cute, but her voice just leaves something to be desired. I couldn’t believe the way the judges fawned over what I thought were two extremely so-so performances. She’s got an OK voice, but it’s not nearly strong enough to support either of the songs she did. It seems pretty obvious to me she’s getting the sympathy vote.
Justin is cute and a hell of a performer. His voice is rather generic, but he’s got the stage moves down, so I think he’ll have some kind of career, even if it’s just a boy-band kind of thing.
But Kelly. Oh yeah. Damn, but that girl has a hell of a voice. And she really does seem like a genuinely nice, down-to-earth person. She deserves to win.
My brother is a huge Nikki fan, and I like her too, but it’s going to be Kelly. Tamyra, thank god, is gone.
I know Nikkis is the lowest on the voice scale, but at least she was unique. Tamyra is just another soul/r&b clone waiting to happen.

I also think that Nikki has had a disavantage… the music to date has not been “her” music, but they finally gave her a shot Tuesday and she showed that she can sing. Not as good as kelly though.
