More than 2 years after Mom’s death from cancer, I’m moving out of Dad’s home to a one room apartment, a few blocks from Dad’s home.
Nice place, well-maintained, trees & swimming pools.
Good price, one I can afford.
Complex caters to MTSU students & junior faculty.
Still a long way from set-up & occupation, but all the furniture is there.
I’m currently sick (sinus infection & also diarrhea), so the moving process is miserable, but I am determined.

No, Mom had asked me to stay, but Dad & I drive each other crazy.

One room apartment… so, you have one living room with a hallway corner and a kitchen corner, one separate bedroom, one separate bathroom?
Sounds nice. Students usually liven the place up.

I am sick, frenzied & exhausted.
And the apartment is nowhere near livable, yet.
OIC. There was a guy in an old gaming community I used to hang out in who used that as a handle, hence I assumed it was a person.
How exciting. And “freedoming” as well.
Walk around in your underwear. Leave the door open, heating/cooling all the great outdoors. Leave lights on. Throw dirty clothes everywhere. Stare into the fridge for 5 minutes, never taking anything out. Leave a cheetos bag and half a pepsi sitting somewhere for days on end.
You got water and power? Its livable! The rest is gravy!
