I'm Old

I wonder if that’s what is meant by being a “groan man.”

As an adjective: of or pertaining to nose blowing, and as a noun: conveying waste matter from the body (of a duct or organ or something).

Just an obscure word that I’ve never actually seen used. I’ve only ever seen it in print in my dictionary, and never heard anyone but myself use it, and I don’t much because the conversation always stops!

Stemming from the word “mung” perhaps? On South Park is where I first heard the word used. In their irrereverent style, it’s supposed to be the substance that emanates from a pregnant woman’s body when you mash down on her tummy, but a look at * The South Park Lexicon* reveals that it doesn’t mean that at all, but means “Mash Until No Good”. So happylittlevegemite’s use of it as “conveying waste matter from the body” is actually closer to the mark than the South Park kids’ was. Because they were using it as a noun.
