Yeah, you’ve got a weenie baked in a roll… We used to do this, but with regular biscuits. Cheap and easy supper for kids. We loved it in our pre-teen days.
I’m having mac-n-cheese. I wanted to go for Bad Chinese, but **FCD **was taken to lunch by a vendor (who just happens to work for the company my bro is prez of!) so he’s not hungry at all. Daughter has gone to see a friend. Boring night at FairyChatEstates.
I just found out that my cousin who I haven’t seen in nigh onto fifteen years fell on Monday and hit her head. She was rushed to the ER where she had brain surgery on a bleed on one side of her brain and then they found a bleed on the other side. Last I’ve heard she’s out of surgery #2 and they’re all waiting to see how she is. She has three children, one of who has Turner Syndrome and PDD-NOS.
There went my Thanksgiving cheer. I’m going to be hanging out on the Caring Bridge website. (And whoever came up with the idea for that site is a genius.)
Haven’t found me yet though?
Actually it wouldn’t matter if you did – I have less time for there than I do here these days. :smack:
{{{{{FCM}}}}} Give yourself all the time you need. I still miss my SamDog now like 30 years later.
If anyone out there knows of any church or youth groups that collect/save stamps (used postage) please shoot me a PM.
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving for all who are so inclined!
It’s also another special day - the birthday of the original and long-absent Mumper, RueDeDay! Even tho he doesn’t love us any more and doesn’t visit us any more, we do owe him a little gratitude for starting this Monday Morning Tradition.
I’m up early because, like a dummy, I forgot to turn off the alarm yesterday. Critters have been tended to and the house is mostly quiet. There’s a rhythmic, high-pitched noise that seems to be loudest in the living room, and for the life of me, I can’t trace the source. It doesn’t appear to be associated with and of the aquarium equipment or the TV, and there’s nothing else on in that room. You can’t hear it in the hallway which opens off the living room. The only other thing I can imagine is that daughter has her ceiling fan on low and it’s causing the sound. Except the floor is carpeted and there’s sheetrock on the bottom of the floor joists… I don’t know, but it’s making me crazy. It would probably drive Scruffy crazy if she wasn’t deaf…
I think we’ve got everything ready to go to Mom’s. And I think I’m going to try to take Scruffy - otherwise she’ll mess in the house. She’ll sit on my lap in the car and Cozmo, theoretically, will sleep. It’s only for a bit over 2 hours. We’re going in Daughter’s car. I get to sit in the back seat. Yay.
It’s light enough out to see that it’s grey and overcast. Hope the rain holds off - people get stupid when they drive in rain.
Happy USA Overeating Day
(oh, wait. That’s everyday for most of this country, isn’t it?)
Well, in keeping with the original theme this week, I got no real sleep. I had several 45 minute naps, interrupted by half hour to hour awakes, and a cat that must have gotten into the ground coffee.
At least I can catch up tonight before tomorrow’s travel.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up, caffienatin’ and have turkey roastin’ away. Go Me! I plan on going to the Thanksgiving Service at the church house later this mornin’. OYKW is not goin’ so he gets to be in charge of gettin’ the dressin’ into the oven at the appropriate time. Sometimes it’s nice havin’ my own personal manservant.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
Stay safe all you travelin’ Mumpers!
I’d say don’t overeat but I am not given to campaigin’ for lost causes.
