Stuffed. OD’d on football. Bed beckons. I have to wake Mr Rebo who is asleep in the recliner.
I’m still stuffed and I ate at 3:00!
We had turkey, stuffing, mashed taters, giblet gravy, sauteed asparagus, fresh home made dinner rolls, au gratin potatoes, sweet potato casserole, and fruit salad.
By the time I sat down to eat, I was so full from smelling it all day while cooking, that I didn’t get to eat that much. We had home made apple pie and coffee for dessert a couple of hours later. My daughter made the pie, and my daughter’s boyfriend made the au gratin potatoes and rolls.
I sent my MiL and my daughter and her sweetie home with lots of leftovers, and I still have a ton left in the fridge.
Thankfully, I won’t be eating turkey for three dang weeks. I figure there’s enough turkey for some turkey sammiches and a meal or two and that’s it.
Well, I think I’m going to relax now. I was basically on the go for over twelve hours before I even sat down tonight. I’m tired, but kind of wound up.
Count, your kitteh had me snorting real dangerously at work.
Do you use guitars to dice your boiled egg too?
Yesterday about noonish I was dizzy, had a machine sammich (blagh!) but that only helped for about half an hour, ended up declaring a health-half-day (which wasn’t anyway: lunchtime had been reached, and we only work 2h after lunch) and going home for “caldico y quietud” (broth and quiet). Both were literal: even if the hot broth is from a tetrabrik, sometimes it’s just what the doctor ordered. Today we’re having Lousy Weather and that’s official (as if the rest of the week had been good!), heavy rains expected. Methinks I won’t be doing much laundry this weekend.
Up, caffeinated, off to irk.
Are corporate travel applications and corporate travel chicks required to suck donkey balls?
I haven’t read and therefore haven’t had anything to retain. Been very busy, haven’t had time to post and pronouns keep disappearing.
(((((Everyone))))) because they are always necessary.
Hope you all had a happy T-Day, those of you who celebrated it.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. Need to get movin’ soon as I need to grab clothes and stuff to take with me to visit up to the old homeplace. It’s rainy out and that does not motivate me. I don’t like drivin’ in the rain if’n I can help it. At least I’m not out in the Black Friday crazies.
Ok, off I go to get myself packed up and outta heah. I’ll sneak in a post or two over the weekend. Y’all behave. No feet on the furniture and no eatin’ cookies in bed.
Bye!
I don’t eat cookies in bed, but how am I supposed to go to sleep if I can’t have my feet on the furniture?

Haha! Finger is sore todayand looks ugly.
Plans for today are to clean the house and put up the Christmas decorations. We are not having a tree as we are not here for most of December but I have some outside lights and garlands and stockings for the mantle. Tomorrow will be the last of my Christmas shopping. I have a plan of where and what and as much as I hate to have to do it this weekend I am running out of time as we leave for the UK on the 16th and I some work trips that involve travelling on the next couple of Sundays. Coffee beckons…
I just celebrated my after-thanksgiving tradition of having pie for breakfast and then immediately regretting it.
Thus the legend was born! The rich satisfying taste of a pita pocket filled with smashed onions and boiled eggs, with just a hint of mayo:
Salad El-Kabong…!
How is it even possible to make a bad pecan pie? And yet, every time I buy one instead of making my own - yuck.
My only plans for today are knitting and figuring out how to keep the cat out of the blinds.
commercially produced baked goods are missing the one ingredient all homemade versions have: love.
p.s. Shadow, that sounds like a purrfect day
Finally checking in - Happy Day After Overindulgence!! Dinner at Mom’s was nice. One sister wasn’t there - she went to her inlaws’ place. We had far too much food and my mom make an amazing chocolate dessert and some equally amazing gingerbread. She also makes dressing balls rather than pans of dressing. This came out of her catering days - easier portion control. Can’t address the taste, as I don’t do dressing, but others seemed to enjoy it.
We ran some errands this morning, unrelated to Black Friday. **FCD **has added some plumbing to the aquarium system. Daughter has signed up for the middle school science praxis test and bought the study guide. She’ll be taking the test in January. If she passes, and when she finally gets her VA certificate, she can apply in MD for a certificate and try to get a job as a middle school science teacher. That would mean a nice pay raise for her.
I’m doing laundry. I was going to shampoo the carpet in this room, but maybe tomorrow. Maybe… It’s cold and rainy out - the temp has been dropping thru the day. Freezing tonight - I need to bring in my spider plants - their summer on the porch is over.
Yes, it’s another exciting day at FairyChatEstates.
Doing half of a bambilance shift tonight, to see how my back and butt behave. First time I’ve run since September…
heh… you said butt. heh!
Silly MBG!
Home. Fed fish (no, really; Local Best Friend is away and has a tankful that needed dinner).
Had Cheerios and blueberries for dinner. And crackers. And tea.
Work was vewwy quiet and I got quite a bit done.
Now I’m deciding what to do for the evening. Suppose I’ll knit a bit.
Hugs all.

That’s swampy’s word!
Hi, y’all! Had a very interesting day at work, and think I did most everything right. Except get there on time. My alarm went off at it’s normal time: I shut it off and went back to sleep. I woke up 15 minutes before I had to be at work in full out panic mode.
Forgot to tell you - Boston trip got postponed - one of the Rosebuds developed a fever. #2 nephew is getting over something that he passed to Brother, who is now on the downside of whatever it was. Add that, and my malfunctioning immune system, to the icky cold rainy, potentially icy, weather this morning - we all decided the best thing was to reschedule.
But I’ll still host Monday - I think I can come up with something.
Bambilance duty did not go well. I did not account for hard seat in the back and the bumpy roads. I hurt once again, and will stay on leave for a while longer.
Most of all, I realized how much I miss pulling duty.
