The sad thing is it probably won’t go away. I used to carpool with a guy who loved “Dude, Where’s My Car?”, and he insisted on saying “And den?” and laughing hysterically every morning while I sat beside him silently thinking :wally .
God, I’m glad I got a new job…
“You’re my boy, Blue!”
The local bar I frequent has a bartender named Blue, so you have to believe I heard that phrase being uttered far too often…
Mostly because the show is actually pretty damn funny, specially that Rick James sketch. I’m afraid it will lose most of the funny if people quote it non stop, sorta like Monthy Python.
“…and I said, look, bitch, I’m Rick James.”
This is from the part when Charlie Murphy comes to Rick James’s hotel room and he’s sitting on the dresser talking to the two gals whom he’ll later command to have sex with Charlie.
Anyway, I’ve been saying that a lot. I have intention on stopping anytime soon, either. It’s ok, though, because I’ve been saying it under my breath. Mostly.
Well, “I’m Rick James, bitch!” and “Huuwhat?” still crack me up even though I’ve heard them about a thousand times. But that might just be because I am easily amused.
I was hoping that Buddy’s line from Elf would catch on because I thought it was so hilarious, but alas, it didn’t.
“You sit on a throne of LIES!”
Haven’t seen that skit, but I like the Samuel Jackson beer.
“Mmm-mmm, bitch!”
“This bores me…”
Delta-32 Skee-do!
And then the cut scene to Chappelle/James laying on the couch, kicking away like a 3 year old having a tantrum…
“FUCK YO’ COUCH, NIGGA – FUCK YO’ COUCH!!!”
I honestly was crying from laughing so hard.
I liked the part that followed as Rick drags his busted legs out of Eddie’s house: “They shouldn’t have never give you niggas money!”
Did anyone else catch the reference to the Black White Supremist?
It was right after Charlie and Eddie Murphy beat the crap out of Rick Jame’s legs. He’s crawling out the house…
“…evil midnight wide nose breathing motha fuckas.” Or something like that.
Count me in as another fan of the show who is sick of hearing this. I have a low threshhold for cheesy catchphrases anyway, to me it’s funny about three times tops. How about quoting anything else from a very funny show that has lots to choose from? I love the Samuel L. Jackson Beer sketch too, but even I’d get sick of hearing me say, “It’ll get you drunk!” or “How’s it taste, motherfucker?” every chance I got.
If Chappelle is going to keep doing those Charlie Murphy stories, I wish Charlie would get around to ones about his Uncle Ray, who was a very annoying Eddie Murphy hanger-on during Eddie’s 80s heyday.
I’m just glad The Apprentice hasn’t caught on among people I know, another show with a catchphrase I hate. I already work with moron (who has no hiring or firing authority) who likes to go around pretending to fire people. But he’s been doing shit like that for the past two years, in between doing the “lawn sprinkler” touchdown dance for absolutely no reason several times a day.
I’m sure Charlie had some other interesting adventures with James.
They should make more.
At work the VP of the company thought this was so funny that he brought a tape of the show for everyone to watch in the conference room.
Yeah, it gets old but, then I do get to call the VP of the company “bitch” alot more now.
Wow, I’m totally lost on the “HUUWHAT?” thing. Someone explain?
It’s Chapelle mocking Lil Jon.
OKAYYYYY
HUUUWAAATT
and YYYYEEEAAAAHHHHH
see www.liljononline.com for the real thing.
I busted up on the Lil’ Jon sketch when Lil’ Jon started talking normal, in what almost sounds like an English accent.
Man, I love Chappelle’s show. The phrase that I can’t get out of my head is “I’m ritch, biatch!” (horn honks twice) and then the undecipherable thing said when the Llama picture is showing.
There’s a rapper called “Lil John” (king Crunk I believe) that he’s busting on. This fool lugs around some wacky looky diamond goblet, and all he says is “yeeeeyuhhhh!” and 'HuuuuWhat???!?!?!"
He’s on the new Usher video which IIRC, is titled “yeah”. There are plenty of websites that have the video, in fact I think BET has it up.
It will all make sense after you see the video.
I tried to use the “Mmmmm mmm, bitch!” on Mrs. Blue Sky.
She was not amused.
Then again, she thinks Friends, Will & Grace, & Full House are funny.
I’m broke nigga, BROKE.
I can’t believe I’ve missed out on this awesomely funny sketch! Damn that Martha Stewart, taking up all my time.
