dopers who are always putting down Bill O’Reilly as a loose cannon.
I defy you to click on this link and after watching, still hold that view.

You’re right. I’d like to switch my vote from “Loose Cannon” to “Full-On Batshit Crazy.”
Wait a minute BarnOwl, who’s side are you on?
Are you kidding, Christopher?
I’d have included a  in the OP but I didn’t want to give away the cynicism before you watched the link.
O’Reilly is certifiably nuts IMHO.
Now I’m going to start watching O’Reilly. That was hilarious!
O’Reilly may have lost his temper, but he was right. If the illegal alien was deported after his first traffic ticket, the girls would still be alive. Hell, he should have been deported as soon as someone realized he was here illegally.
All I can say is that two of my three favorite human beings really work well together in polite conversation. All that’s missing is Sam Kinison, may he rest in peace.
Getting out-debated by Geraldo Rivera. That’s got to hurt.
And maybe occasionally click on…
…because that’s where I found Bill-o’s apoplectic moment?
He may have been right in point of fact, but the conclusions he seemed to be drawing from that fact were suspect. Is it factually true that had the illegal alien been deported, he would not have killed those girls while driving drunk? Yes. Is this specific incident a valid argument for deporting illegals to begin with? That’s awfully shaky.
Edit: This was in reply to ivylass. Next time I refresh before hitting Post Reply.
Wow, Geraldo and Blow-Reilly screaming at each other. I don’t know who to root for, but everybody wins. If only it had degenerated into a fistfight culimating in pistols at dawn.
And by the same logic, if the driver hadn’t been born, the girls would still be alive. So people who opposed abortion made it possible for this accident to occur.
But in the real world, we try to limit things to those events which actually contributed to the outcome. The driver’s nationality? Did not cause the accident. The driver’s alcohol consumption? Did cause the accident.
Technically, yes, in the sense that he’d been deported he wouldn’t have been behind the wheel, drunk, in that particular place at that particular time. So maybe he would have killed a couple of Mexican girls instead.
The point is that his illegal status was unconnected to his drunk driving. Linking the two in an effort to use this tragic accident to score points on the immigration debate was scummy.
Yeah, I’m familiar. I don’t check it that often because I think that Arianna Huffington is pretty crazy. If you like her though, she is a co-host on “Left, Right, and Center” - which is a pretty decent political radio program.
Also are you familiar with Newshounds? Their slogan: “We watch FOX so you don’t have to.”
Someone needs to show O’Reilly a news story about an illegal alien performing CPR, or rescuing a baby from a burning building. “Those people should have died! Damn that meddling illegal!”
Thank you, Doctor Who. I bookmarked it
Removed stupid post. :smack:
I just needed to clear up the confusion BarnOwl. Your link to the Huffington Post suggested that you might be an america hating, let’s lose the war, pro-communist, anit-god liberal making a sarcastic jab at papa bear. Go america!
::Parades flag around the room::
If only Rosie O’Donnell had been there, too.
If those girls’ mothers had made them stay home they’d still be alive. Let’s imprison all irresponsible parents! If alcohol wasn’t freely available, the guy wouldn’t have been drunk. Ban booze! If there was no vehicle, there would be no damage. Ban cars!
Honestly.
