I'm SO sick of hearing "Trump voters are not bad people...we need to empathize with them". FUCK THAT

This is the Pit. No need to be cryptic.

It might be good for them to realize that pretty much EVERY pro-choice person does not like abortion. It’s not like pro-choice people are going “Yay! More abortions for everyone! That would be terrific!”

This needs to be made VERY clear to them. It seems that the Anti-abortion crowd are often confused on this major point.

Yes. But also know that many that are anti-choice are also against birth control. Gods will and all that.

Well it does save a lot of time for everyone involved.

Banned name!

A writer says she love abortions.
Another one says she loves abortion, too.
And another.
There’s evenmerchandise to this effect.

I read a couple of those links. What they “love” is that women have access to abortion.

For example:

Unfortunately I think this is a kind of myth also. I’m sure there are low income rednecks who like Trump, but the median income of the people who voted for him in the primary (which was, as he loves to point out, the greatest number of people supporting any Republican candidate in history) was something like $73,000 per year. So half of those millions of supporters make more than that. His true base is therefore not really trailer park type people, but rather rural and exurban middle-aged and older white dudes with decent incomes, who pine for the country to be for them the way it was for their fathers in the Mad Men days, when women and nonwhites knew their place, and white dudes could be blatantly sexist, slap the secretary’s ass, and tell off-color or racist jokes without anyone getting offended.

This is not exactly true though. If you go on sites like Daily Kos or Jezebel or feminist Twitter you will see people pushing back against this meme, saying they love their abortion. They are not exactly helping the cause, but it is what it is.

If you Google “I love abortion shirts” you will see many designs and sizes. There are also stickers, mugs, etc.

Here are examples of women pushing back against the “safe, legal and rare” formulation:

ETA: Ninja’d! My cites include excerpts though, which make it clear that they are saying “fuck you” to people like Euphonious Polemic.

Well I guess I live in a bubble then. Color me educated.

Thanks… I’ll take your word for it.

It looks like unlike me, you didn’t read your cites before posting the links. The third one is from a man, and an anti-feminist PUA jackass at that.

ETA:

You’re welcome, and FTR I would prefer it be as you thought it was.

Thing is Waco, you must have done a happy little troll dance when you found that username was available.

He’s back.

As you yourself undoubtedly did when you jumped to this conclusion.

Paranoia is a terrible condition.
Good luck with that.

The thing is, Skywatcher,I don’t really know how to correct your opinion of me, as far as my identity is concerned. I’m sure you know that, though. Saying that I’m someone I’m not, apparently jives with your belief system somehow.

Trump did the Democrats a favor by running. The Republican party is in total disarray.
Is there anyone out there who thinks Trump can win? Trump’s a laughingstock, all over the world.
I would not think he’s capable of being a world leader. That, to me anyway, is the most important fact regarding Trump.
When Hillary walked out on Lavrov, she showed remarkable fortitude. That impressed me, notably.

Skywatcher thinks I’m Satan,aka a Trump supporter.
Neither, actually.
I know I’m not a Trump supporter, and if I’m Satan I should be getting paid more.

You’re trying way, way too hard.

I hear ya; but my question would be: trying to do what, exactly? Not that I’ve put overly much effort into trying to figure it out, as I agree with the poster upthread who said it was getting pretty boring.

Seems to happen on a regular basis, and the personality types are so much the same, its almost as though it might be the same person. Gonna just walk in here and tell those libruhls what’s what, straight from the shoulder, in gruff tones of common sense. Like Bill O’Reilly but without the warmth and genial good nature.
