Not being American, I don’t have to be Officially Thankful today. But I am anyway. I’m thankful for the many friends th SDMB has brought into my life, for the opportunity it has given me to travel to the States, and for the way it’s kept my brain stimulated. I am thankful to the SDMB and my own fairy godfather, for providing me with my husband.
Yeah, SDMB (with all of its composite minions) definitely deserves thanks this giving thanks day. More than a couple times I have needed the sanity (and insanity, for that matter) that it has provided.

I thank the SDMB for helping me waste more time, and for giving me something to do when I’m bored. I’m also thankful for the tons of advice and knowledge i’ve gained from this place over the last year, and not to mention the coultless laughs. And I’m thankful for Poohpah Chalupa for making this thread, and for having a funny name that makes me chuckle whenever I see it and I don’t know why.
I just recently got a job, which ended a nearly year-long stretch of being unemployed. That’s the main thing that I will be thankful for tomorrow.
If it wasn’t for the SDMB, I think I would have lost my mind during that dreadful time of unemployment.
Thank you, SDMB, for helping me preserve a little bit of sanity.
BTW, I officially start the job in January, so I still have some time to go. But my stress level has dropped.

I am very thankful for my friends here on SDMB, Live Journal and several other boards. I am thankful that I have been able to share here, both good and bad things that have happened in my life over the past few years.
There are very special people in my life that I am thankful for. My husband (that LIONsob) and my sonand my future daughter-in-law, my Mom and Aunts and Uncles. even my sisters and brothers who drive me insane.
And some people here who have made my life much nicer in many different way . Poohpah you are one of those people, so is Scotty and LordJim And Grace and Zyada and a certian recently snipped Dave Guy, And Ringo and ChefTroy and ChiefScott and Byz and CanadianSue and a crackwhore is not here anymore but is the color of an egg plant and loves lime green fishnet stockings.
LittleNemo is a hit in my book , so is Revedge, Kricket and Persephone and KelliBelli and UncleBeer and Coldy and all the the mods and admins. and… this is getting too long, if you are a doper consider yourself someone I am thankful for ( even a few of the ones I have told to bite me).
I am thankful that my hole is almost closed (the doc says maybe by Christmas) and that as far as I know I am still in remission.
I am thankful for the people who aren’t in my life this year but who were before because I was given the great gift of knowing them for a time.
I am thankful for everyday of my life and all those who have been in it, the good and the bad because as Garth sings "I could have missed the pain, but I’d have had to miss the dance. " And my life has been one hell of a dance.
