Boy, you’re really going whole hog with the whole “integratie” thing aren’t you? Don’t tell me you’re eating “hagelslag” for breakfast and “filet americain” for lunch and washing everything down with Chocomel too.
But, as a German living in the Netherlands I must agree. Clogs are actually surprisingly comfortable and much better than rubber boots if you’re slogging around in muddy fields all day. With the weather we’re having here today (30 cm of snow in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe!) they’re probably the best thing to wear.
Well, I’m just tickled that it snowed all day today.
