I'm think I'm the only person under 50 who likes Grape Nuts.

To me, it’s like eating a bowl of hard candy.

I wish I could like them.

Mmmmmm, Grape Nuts…

I like to make a nice large bowl full, put about 1/4 cup of sugar on it and pour in the milk. I then allow this fabulous delicacy to age for 5 to 8 minutes. During this time, the nuts go from hard and rather like gravel to semi-crunchy and soaked in sweetness. Yummy

Oh, and I’m 27, I’ve eaten them this way since I was a kid, but they now give me my fill of sweetness very quickly; thus I don’t eat them very often any more.

My son likes them, he’s 14.

My childhood decadance was to sprinkle on some sugar, malt powder and a bit of powdered cocoa, then pour on the milk. Nowadays I just leave out the cocoa powder, punching up the malty taste.

I’m in my 30s and I love them. I love them with no sugar, and just enough milk to get 'em wet but nothing more.

Just bought a new box yestiddy and I’m under 50! The bird like 'em, too.

My partner is 27 and loves 'em - completely drowns them in milk. Can’t abide them myself, more of a crunchy nut cornflake kinda gal.

  1. Grape-Nuts are the only cereal I eat. I pour myself a coffee cup every morning and ‘drink’ it on the way to work, crunching happily. No milk, no sugar, just the cereal.

I’m under 50, and I’ve liked Grape Nuts since I was a kid.

But then, I also like Cocoa Puffs.

Johnny have you tried Reece’s Puffs cereal? Merciful heavens it’s good.

Ellen Cherry: No. The truth be told, breakfast is usually two large cups of strong coffee, occasionally followed by a large cuppa joe from 7-11 on the way to work and then some coffee at work.

Oh it’s not for breakfast. It’s a yummalicious treat. Yes, I bought it for my children. No, they do not eat it.

I love them and I’m 25. They’re great in the winter if you put just a bit of milk in them and nuke them for a minute or so.

I’m 22 and I like Grape Nuts.

Liked 'em as a kid, too.

Not that i’m all that concerned with my weight or anything, but I remember once seeing at my dorm dining hall that a single serving(anyone else realize how little a single serving is?) of grapenuts was like 800 calories, considering when I have cereal I usually have giant bowls of it. I never touched grape nuts again. Breakfast would make me gain a pound!

Grape Nuts, hot. Yum. (And yes, I’m under 50.)

And my cat likes 'em also… she’ll use her paw to scoot the bowl closer to her, if you give her even half a chance.

<< Sugar in the morning, sugar in the evening, sugar at supper time… >>

Grapenuts are like gravel, when eaten straight up.

Yet they’re oddly addictive.

I blame lno for my discovery of grapenuts and my subsequent addiction.

A single serving of grapenuts is about 200 calories without milk… Looking at the box right now. Not sure why you saw 800.

I like grape nuts. I moisten them with milk or half and half, then add a decent amount of sugar. I realize that this kinda removes the healthy part of the food, but still…

Huh? The box says 1/2 cup (58g, 210 Calories) has 1 gram of fat.

I like Grape-Nuts cause it’s mined.

Interesting cereal. Eaten after soaking for a couple of minutes in cold milk, it tastes sweet to me, at times almost cloyingly so. But I tried it hot once, and it wasn’t sweet at all.
