I predict Monday, when they show up to be informed they’re on unpaid leave.
Just killing time until I get to go spend my usual busy (and rewarding) Thursday.
$2.99, much like Laverne & Shirley was the show that couldn’t be parodied because the parody was indistinguishable from the original, the MMP is a thread that can’t be hijacked. You say whatever the heck you want so long as it isn’t Pit-worthy, and you’re relevant.
Happy Thorsday!
It is 27 degrees above freezing.
I thought spring sprung right on past us but it looks lie she’s back.
The kid got his computer working, I think and hope.
You’d have thought the house was on fire.
**FCM ** I hate drama but drama seems to love me, or maybe it hates me and that’s why it follows me around.
Swampy Maybe I missed my calling and should be writing a soap opera. I’m not too experienced with them, except for a brief time when Luke and Laura were all the rage. If I understand correctly you take a weeks worth of activity and stretch it out to take a year?
I could include the experience of my extreme redneck friend on her first cruise. Did you know they have speakers the rooms and will warn you that if you get into one more drunken brawl with your bf they will put you off at the next port?
I told one of my other friends, forget the *Real Housewives *series, we need to write up a Real Rednecks series.
I could include the living arrangements of a certain family member. That raised a lot of eyebrows and another family member and I agreed we did not even want to think about what was going on in that house.
I guess that could be my next chapter.
Lucky I think you are living up to your name by forgetting to take the salmonella out of the freezer. if you had the Crap may have made an appearance.
Howdy drew! Do come back. Like BBBobbio said, the MMP comes pre-hijacked so you just say what you want. Of course the most important aspect of the MMP is my report of the daily minutiae of life at da cave. These people could not live if they did not know the daily weather report for south Jawja or what I had for dindin.
Yeah, well, when I go to Sunday Services this time of year, I’m out looking for crappies.
Relevant? Seriously? How long have you been a Mumper, BBBobbio?? sheesh ![]()
Two loads on the lines, third will go out in about 20 minutes and the first part of laundry will be done. Second part will be later this afternoon when I bring it all in. Anyway, once the sheets are on the line, I’ll don my garden gloves and have a little dirt play.
I hope they’re right about rain tomorrow - the yard could use a drink and I really don’t want to be dragging the sprinkler around.
Perhaps not as cute as a heterochromic kitten, but coincidentally I did just have my sister send me a few photos of my kitty, Rika (I’m out on the boat, did you know I work on a boat for 4 weeks at a time?), because I missed her. Well, herethey are.
It’s cold and rainy, again. Le sigh. Eye doctor appointment this afternoon, vet for the horse tomorrow. But lunch at 5 Guys burger place today. Nomnom.
Very cute kitty. Give her some scritches for me when you get home.
And be safe on that boat while your out there.
Hehe.
I only calls it salmonella cause my goofy dad calls it salmonella and it stuck. He has a horrible habit of renaming things to something close but not quite right. Several examples include:
Spanakopita = Spina Bifida
Toyota Sienna = Sienna Sausage
Prostate = Prostrate
Neighbor Lady Named Lois = Lois Lane (I have no idea of her real last name actually).
Unfortunately it takes some effort for me to call things by their proper names as my dad also has the habit of repeatedly saying the silly name of the item.
I found pumpkin pie pop-tarts. Or rather, I found pumpkin pie toaster pastries. And they’re AWFUL!
They were not a happy part of my morning. The pollen is not a happy part of my morning either.
And, just in time for DH’s radiation burns to be mostly healed, he’s back in for a different type that’s stronger. A known side-effect of this kind is nausea and uh, tummy troubles. Five more days…five more days…
$2.99 - the kitteh is truly squeeable! One part of me wants to get a weensy baby kitteh, but apart from the fact that my spousal unit would hop on his Harley and disappear if I did that, I think 2 cats and a pug are quite enough for our household. If we had more cats, we’d need more cat boxes, and I don’t want more cat boxes, so Taz and Ziva shall have each other and no more.
OK, all of today’s laundry is on the line. Time to plant a couple of hostas and figure out where the roses need to go. I just don’t feel like gardening today, so it’ll be a short venture out.
I just found my business name listed in the advertising for a local show that I’m doing along with a picture of my stuff. In the description it says Upcycled Silverware but the picture shows a clay carrot that I made. :smack: Um? I must have done a hell of a job to turn a fork into a clay carrot!
SQUEEE!!! Too cute!!! (And will be gorgeous as an adult.) Thanks for posting this!
sahirrnee, your soap opera idea sounds amusing (and you’re right about pacing. See TV Tropes for more info, but beware of that site’s time-sink properties).
drewtwo99, I second Sario’s remarks about the kitty and about safety on that boat.
Cool deal! I worked the river for a few months back in college - week on, week off. Always thought I should have considered it more seriously for possible long term. My one uncle was Merchant Marine and he really had fun with his life.
I take it your Sunday Service is communing with nature as opposed to sitting on a pew.
Very awesome. I have my MMC too so technically I’m a Merchant Marine too (though my job is really a computer/desk job).
Glad everyone liked the pictures of my cat. Hardest part of being out on the boat is not being able to cuddle with her every day ![]()
Mawnin all,
Been mostly lurking this week, with the occasional drive by for tasteless jokes.
Up caffinating
Woke up to wet and cold, weird
I’ll be back
