Hi, everybody!
I know I haven’t participated in the thread this week but I needed to tell someone (other than my SO) that I just signed up for two summer courses. As I may have mentioned, I am currently going back to school. At first I wasn’t going to take any classes in the summer. But yesterday in class someone mentioned how they were, and how it would take pressure off the fall. I was like, D’oh! So I was only going to sign up for one. But financial aid is only given for the summer if you have 6 credits, and one course is only 4. So I signed up for 2 4-credit courses…
which means I only have 10 courses left for my degree. If I take 3 in the fall and 3 in the spring and 2 next summer…
that totally means I might have my bachelor’s in IS next August. :eek: If I work hard. And am diligent.
Hi 'mika! Yay on gettin’ closer to your degree. It’ll all be worth it when you’re done. I took some Summer classes waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I was an undergrad. IME they were a lot more laid back.
N.O.L. is et. Ham 'n cheese sammich and a sallit. Sorta kinda healthy even. I have decided that tonight is pizza night cause I don’t wanna cook.
**FCD **took his bike to the dealer and I had to fetch him back since it won’t be ready till tomorrow. So we stopped on the way home for lunch at Bert’s - that was nice.
The sun is out, altho it’s supposed to rain more this afternoon. I’m thinking I’ll go mix up some slip in my studio, just because. I also need to trim my fingernails - I thought you’d like to know that.

Oh yes the heart warming strains of Screwdriver or running into a patrol of eight or ten on your way to the store. Um, a hearty congratulations to you, Mika, but I have to say that Summer classes are hell where I go to school. I mean, trying to cram 16 weeks worth of content into 5 weeks? Thank goodness I don’t have to take any this summer again. I hope your school is different, though. /debbie downer
I actually like summer school better than normal school exactly because it’s all crammed together. I don’t know why; I’ve always consistently done better in summer school. I took it a lot when I was much younger.
My only concern is how much school is exhausting me now that I am an adult, but of course I am working full time too. Still, I am doing well despite being tired a lot. 
Ok, executive decision made. I am outta the irkplace as on now!

My sinus pain is back and I haven’t even finished my antibiotics yet. I am leaning toward the raging bitch that is Mother Nature being the cause of my pain.
I am so far behind in 2 of my 5 classes but I don’t actually need either class and I’m struggling to get up any amount of give a shit to finish them. I had an A in each class before I fell behind. I have no idea what grade I’d have if I just blew off the rest of the semester. I’m tired mentally and physically, and sick. I just don’t want to deal with it.
Unfortunately today is the last day to withdraw from a class without penalty and my adviser isn’t available and my vehicle is in the shop so I couldn’t get there even if she were available.
Ugh.
Iggy puked today. He has NEVER puked. He just sat there with a shocked look on his face like he had no clue what the hell just happened to him. It would have been cute if my own queasiness hadn’t been an issue while I was cleaning it up. Holly puked too but she does it all the time. I hope Ginger doesn’t jump on the bandwagon. I can’t take any more mostly digested kibble today. 
My best friend’s baby shower is tomorrow. She’s having twins. I’m looking forward to going but I’m concerned about the fact that I’m sick. I’m going to see if one of her nurse friends can steal me a mask from work. I’m annoyed that baby shower gifts are always for the mom and the baby so I got a pair of New England Revolution (soccer) tickets for her husband and son as well. They’ve been putting up with a grumpy pregnant woman for 7 months. They need a boy’s day out.
I haven’t heard from the mortgage guy, I don’t know of that is good or bad.
The one house I liked is off the market.
I was hoping the price would come down even more.

Just how much laundry do you do every week??
I discovered them about a month ago. It was distressing how disgusting they were. I think it was my only time ever not liking a pumpkin product.
I have that feeling all the time but it’s because of school and PPT lectures. I miss the days when professors actually made up their own lectures instead of using the ones that come from the textbook publisher. They have exactly the same information I already read!!!
I was outside (smoking because I’m an idiot and decided to deal with stress by starting smoking again after 3 years) and checked the thermometer to see just how cold it really was. Holy crap! It’s only 2°!!!

This was an abnormal week - I had a big load of towels, another load of cleaning rags/shop towels, plus sheets. Normally, I’ll have maybe 5 loads a week, but with all the yard work I’ve been doing, it doubles the amount of clothing I wear every day - grubbies plus presentable…
Supper tonight is grab whatever. The sun is out and birds are singing - it’s just like spring!!

ShinyCat, you’re making me 'shamed. I haven’t really written anything other than a scribbled note across the margin of a crossword puzzle since last week. I need to finish Gods and Myths of Northern Europe since that’s suddenly become important to what I’m doing.
Now I need to have a chat with my lazy dishes about why they won’t do themselves.

Laundry? You want laundry? I think I’ve washed every towel in this house twenty five times in the past two weeks. And it’s not like we have just three towels.
If anyone told me beforehand how much laundry a person going through treatment for colorectal cancer would generate, I’d have thought they were insane. Now, I realize their number would have been an understatement. Should have bought some Proctor & Gamble stock for all of the Tide I’ve gone through.
