When I go to another country I try to remember that I am a guest and that I am the foreigner and some things that I say and do back home are not acceptable in the country that I am visiting so I do not do or say them. Some English people when they go abroad do not have a good reputation as they show no respect for local people or their customs. The problem we have in England is a group of immigrants who will not integrate, put their religious laws before the laws of England and practice customs that are not only unacceptable but illegal in England and this is what myself and many others find unacceptable. I believe that it is important for immigrants to remember their roots and also teach their children about their heritage which is as important about learning the history and customs of the country they live in. in the end it comes down to respect
Another problem we have in England is newspapers such as the Daily Mail, supported by right-wing political groups such as the EDL and UKIP, actively manufacturing stories with the intent to drum up anti-immigrant resentment amongst the more credulous and xenophobic members of the public. But alas, it seems all countries have such problems these days.
