Immolating man at Trump trial: what do his pamphlets say?

Complaints and Comments on Moderation do not belong in thread. A PM or an ATMB thread would be the place. I will add a note to not respond to your off-topic post.

Which gets very meta since the alleged conspiracy in this case includes Trump, along with the Clintons, Gore, Obama, Marge Simpson …

The poor man did advertise where the target audience lives anyway, like Cialis commercials during golf games. But odds are they’ll see him as part of a conspiracy before they switch to Trump being part of one.

He’s not talking about the Mafia. The “mob” he refers to is an organization of political elites (a “secret kleptocracy”) which he believes are controlling elections and the country. He identifies Bill and Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, the Bushes, and Donald Trump as leaders of this organization.

Honestly, his failure to implicate (the Jews, and) the Bilderbergs and the Trilateral Commission puts his CT street cred in serious question.

[I keep joking, because the image of that poor SOB is a bit haunting. I keep hoping that gallows humor will cause it to fade. Not yet]

It’s burned into your memory.

I don’t have an account, but I do have the app. I only end up there when I connect to a video; fwiw, it has no sharing privileges on my phone.

I’m going to check in with Lou Dobbs to see how The Blaze is covering this one.

I’ve heard it’s burning up the airwaves.

The competition is toast.

My wife loves kale salad. I’m partial to romaine and red leaf. Max Azzarello was rumored to fancy chard.

And it seems a bit too late for the dressings.

I’m wondering about this photo of the poor guy that shows him next to Newt Gingrich. It was in the Daily Beast article linked above by @Measure_for_Measure, and here’s another link. Max Azzarello | Hey guys I got to meet @berniesanders! | Instagram
He looks really short next to Gingrich, whose height I see reported online as 6’ on some sites, 5’8" on others. So Azzarello was just 5’4" or so?
Not that it really matters, and I think it’s a sad event, but since the thread has taken a punny turn, I don’t see that this is any less inappropriate.

I didn’t see this reported here, but anyway he didn’t make it:

Yeah.

That seemed overwhelmingly likely and profoundly merciful.

Eons ago, I dated an RN. She could handle anything … except the Pediatric Burn Unit.

It’s not at all uncommon for a fire to start because of a short.

[Yeah. I’m probably about done with the gallows humor. It really isn’t helping]

I read through the manifesto, a remarkable example of the genre.

You could find many of the statements in it written here at the Dope by numerous people. There were statements I could agree with wholeheartedly.

Then he would veer directly into equally well-stated proclamations that were almost parodic in their lunacy. Given those alone, most readers would assume they were a comedy bit.

We are all doomed, therefore I am doomed is straightforward logic. I am doomed, therefore we are all doomed is not rational, or comic at all, as the outcome revealed. Too bad someone didn’t get to him earlier.

What I found odd (and alluded to earlier) is that as far as I can tell everybody mentioned was supposed to be an awful person, except for Mike Dukakis, who was a noble man being betrayed. Mike Dukakis! Talk about a deep cut.

The video was taken down shortly after the link was posted. I clicked on your link about 2 hours after your post and it was gone.

He referred back to Bill Clinton’s 1998 nominating speech, which one would logically expect to an encomium towards Dukakis, not full of hate. But I’m not watching a 36-minute speech to catch him in a hidden slur.

Browsed through some of it. It’s hard to make out the top line of the theory, other than taking him for his word that it’s, “There’s a massive ponzi scheme using cryptocurrency that is going to bring down the entire world economy.” But it’s not clear how you go from “Steven Soderberg directed Contagion” to that headline, without a lot closer reading than I felt like getting into.

I did see a mention of Israel but, in general, yes it’s a less common set of targets.

Overall, it didn’t read like the sort of theory that directly leads one to setting themselves on fire but, I suppose, if you’re spiraling down then there’s the things that you did earlier in the spiral - which might not seem so bad - and the part from later in the spiral - like where you’re self-immolating - which might be more obviously extreme.

Whatever his illness might have been, it bothers him no more. RIP.

He died 10 hours later at the hospital. I hope he was unconscious the whole time. I saw a video of him doing this and I am honestly surprised he didn’t die within minutes. I can’t imagine how terrible his life would have been had he somehow survived.

Florida man. Figures.
