Oh this is terrible news. Thank you to the family for letting us know and the updates. I know it can’t be easy.

I’m so sorry to hear this. She was a long time member of the Magic Board as well as here, and she was always there with a kind post. She’ll be missed, dearly.
So very sad to lose such a truly kind person.

I don’t think that I have to tell you that norinew was a pretty special Doper. Over the years since I first began lurking here and once I started posting, she’s been someone that I always would have liked to live next door to.
Since then, she managed to make me laugh on bad days, swapped wound vac stories with me and made me hungry in the What’s for dinner thread. Today, I’ve truly lost a friend.

Such shocking and sad news. I’m sorry sorry to hear this.
Horrible news. She made the most of her life, and we got to share a lot of it with her, but dammit she deserved so much more of it.

Shock and sadness. I’m so sorry for your loss, and I just wanted to add that I also considered her one of the good ones, intelligent, funny, unpretentious, always ready with a kind word of support. She’ll be missed by us all, and I can’t even begin to fathom how devastating this must be you, her family and loved ones. Condolences.
There is little I can say that has not already been said, and better, by fellow Dopers - but to Thread Pirate Roberts and Mudgirl and the rest of Norine’s family, you are all in my thoughts.
Just shocked, absolutely floored, to hear this terrible news. I’d met Norine at a number of Dopefests, and I remember being elated to hear about the great house she and Ray were buying. She was so excited.
Sheesh - that thread was just a month ago. At the rate real estate transactions happen, they surely hadn’t closed on the place yet, let alone moved in. Sometimes life is just no fucking fair.
