Mine will always be Something. A song ahead of it’s time, IMO.

My fave?
Here Comes the Sun (followed very closely by Something)
His best?
Um…lemme think about it…there’s so many!
Fenris
All of them, but especially Starting Over.
I really like I Want To Tell You and It’s All Too Much.
Probably my favorite is While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Rest in peace, George. And thanks for the music.
favourite with the Beatles is While My Guitar Gently Weeps (especially the intro) And Taxman as a close second (Killer riff)
On his own: Peace on Earth, or any thing from Dark Horse or 33 1/3.
Don’t Bother Me, a criminally underrated song from With The Beatles.
Something and While My Guitar Gently Weeps.
I wonder how many people throughout the world are doing the same as I am right now and playing Something and My Guitar Gently Weeps over and over and over.
Yet another vote for While my guitar gently weeps and Something.
Sigh.
Here Comes the Sun
He and Paul Simon performed the song as a duet on SNL once and at the end Paul Simon said, sort of under his breathe, “Boy, that’s nice.”
I agree.
Most of Harrisons stuff is rather odd, but I would say
“I Need You” is my fave; btw I believe it was Paul who did the lead guitar on Taxman, another Pretty Good Song ™
I normally don’t do “me too” postings, but the Beatles provided the background music during my formative years (not unlike many other booomers), so I feel I must comment.
Something gets my vote.
Piggies. “Clutching forks and knives to eat their bacon.”
Not usually a bandwagoner, but I have to agree and say “Something” and “While my Guitar Gentle Weeps” (as I do now at the loss of yet another Beatle passed from this life too soon).
[sub]STEPPING ONTO MY LITTLE SOAPBOX: Smokers, please, pretty please quit today.[/sub]
That was Lennon.
My favorite Harrison/Beatle song is “While My Guitar Gently Weeps.” I also love “Taxman” and “If I Needed Someone.”
Favorite solo songs are “Blow Away,” “All Those Years Ago,” “My Sweet Lord” and “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth).”
What a sad day.

Probably My Sweet Lord, but actually whichever one I’m listening to at the time.
I was stationed overseas when My Sweet Lord came out. I first heard it on a tape my brother sent me of underground radio because you’re really out of the musical loop when your only musical input is Armed Forces radio. Anyway, typical of the time, they didn’t often back announce the songs on FM stations back then, so I never knew who this song was by. My Sweet Lord really haunted me for several weeks. I could not hear enough of it. Then one night at a restaurant/nightclub in Taipei I heard the song come on the jukebox. I jumped up from my table and ran through the crowded restaurant to the jukebox to finally find out who this song was by. Oh, the joy!
It wasn’t even diminished when I finally found a bootleg Taiwanese copy of the album with the song “My Sweet Lard.”
I will always be grateful to George who served as the guide at the trailhead of spiritualality for many seekers.
Thank you George.
Sitting here now listening to “It’s All Too Much.” I love the way that song ends the “Yellow Submarine” animation and segues into the part with the Beatles themselves.
Something is my favorite George Harrison song, my favorite Beatles song and one of my favorite songs of all time.
George was always my favorite Beatle. John was a little too smart, Paul a little too cute, but George was just quiet enough.
I, too, urge all smokers to quit today.
Really, there’s no “wrong” answers to this one.
Beatles: “Here Comes the Sun” for its sonic qualities, esp.
solo: “What is Love?” (great rollicking rave-up; can’t believe no one else has picked it!)
