In Memoriam -- Nov. 4, 1995 -- Yet Another Depressing MMP

rigs, that’s awesome. Your story is light years better than most of the drek I’ve read lately.

I’m halfway through the OCD group now. Apparently, I’m really lucky, because I’m a hoarder **and ** I have classic OCD. Yay. Part of my homework this week? To not read so much. :frowning: Now that is a difficult assignment!

Most of the lab results came back this morning. The numbers are even higher this time. I’m trying not to worry.

Back from Grand Jury duty, and all I can say is that criminals are incredibly stoopit, and those who get away with it are just plain lucky. At least in this county. You’d think if you had committed a crime (yeah, I know, innocent till proven guilty) that when the police come to talk to you, you don’t start out by saying “Oh yeah, this is about that murder” before the nice officer says anything about a murder. Buncha marroons…

Although the State’s Attorney presented one case that was really fascinating. She presented a lot of evidence to us, including a chart, some photos, and some stuff she projected from her laptop, because the case was largely circumstantial. What she wanted was feedback and questions from us so she could be sure to present the evidence clearly to the trial jury. They can’t ask questions, but we can, and we did. Suggestions were from the simple and obvious (give the timeline in AM and PM, not 24-hour time, since it confuses people) to things that are pretty much impossible (you need a photo of the crime scene from this angle - 'cept the crime was committed 18 months ago, and the location has since changed hands and been reworked.) As it happens, I remember this particular crime - in fact, I drove past the scene not too long after it happened while the particular building was cordoned off. Anyway, I hope we helped the state make their case. Tho the accused is so screwed up, he was just convicted and sentenced to 30 years in another state for another crime, and at least 2 other states have an interest in trying his ass… yep, one stellar citizen, that one.

So anyway, I’ve got an hour or so to kill, so I’m going to adjourn to the basement and work on my snowman pots. Then off to WalMart for critter food, followed by my last free oil change. Do I know how to enjoy a day off work or what?!?

Carry on, rigs, you perv!

Nah. I got bored with the whole thing.

Plus, that man turning into a “tree” is just so grossing me out. I am nauseated by it. Poor man. But I wouldn’t say it’s tree like–it looks more furry, which grosses me even more. I need different images to bleach my brain right now and writing about CRS turning into a monster with scales and then seeing that–ugh. Gag. Yuck.

Thus endeth my writing of bad erotica.

Pumpkin Pie Filling…

What the hell? Do you have a spycam in LOUNE’s bedroom or something?

Rigs - Humpday Pie? That sounds deliciously naughty.

That made me giggle. Now who’s serving humpday pie? I would like some please.

I’m actually making progress crafting. Almost done with two projects now.

I think someone should nominate this thread for thread-spotting!

Awesome job, Rigs!

I have defrosted and cleaned the freezer.

I am proud of myself. Now I just have to do the fridge-freezer.

What should we have for dinner that doesn’t involve the stove in any way?

Okay, this made me laugh out loud. Fortunately, not loud enough to cause Papa Tigs, who came home early today, to inquire why I was laughing – not being a LOTR fan, he would have some difficulty appreciating the finer points of CherryRaySue, methinks. Rigs, you have hitherto unplumbed talents!

I survived the dentist, in spite of it being a filling on one of my front teeth. :frowning: It’s all my orthodontist’s fault; when I got braces back in the Dark Ages, it was when they wrapped bands clear around your teeth, and then he fastened some wires on bands on two of my front teeth that were growing in way up high to have something to attach rubber bands to to pull them into the proper position. But the wires were fastened on so tight against my teeth that I couldn’t brush properly under them, so I ended up with deep grooves in the enamel on both teeth. One had to get filled about 15 years ago, and the second one finally succumbed now. :frowning:

But at least, on the bright side, it wasn’t from lack of dental hygiene! My dental hygiene is superior, according to the hygienist who cleaned my teeth recently.

But I still need those four crowns (3 new ones, plus one replacement), and the root canal not because the tooth is sick but to insert an anchor in one tooth that doesn’t have enough tooth left to hold a crown on its own. $1900 worth of crowns. After insurance.

Have I mentioned how much I HATE going to the dentist? :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

Time to get back to work. Once again I’ve got a rush job. At least this isn’t congressional drivel, and it’s not due by 8:00 a.m., so if I don’t finish it this evening I can finish it in the morning. It’s not that long, though, so I’ll probably get it done tonight if I can, although watching Pushing Daisies HAS to come first. I absolutely adore that silly show!

Our cars are home and done. The Jetta came in just under $2100, and mine was a big goose egg. Have I ever mentioned that I hate cars?

**FCD ** wants french toast for supper, so I’m off to make some. TTFN

Can I say TGIW? laughs Yes, because “Pushing Daisies” comes on tonight, and then later on “Life.” Now I must nap a bit–I woke up at 3:15 this morning, and decided to just go ahead and stay up (if I’d gone back to sleep I probably would have overslept). I did get to work early and made an hour of credit time (Whee!), so there is that.

I can’t believe next Thursday is Thanksgiving! I’m starting to plan my menu–I think I’m going to make the Paula Deen green bean casserole–with fresh mushrooms and a home-made cream sauce, not a soup. Boy that thing is rich! Of course we’ll have cornbread stuffing, and I’m also thinking of making some home-made mac & cheese. And a sweet potato bake. And hopefully a small ham! And of course turkey. And probably pumpkin pie, although if I can find a good pumpkin cheesecake, that’s what it’ll be. laughs OMG, please don’t tell my doctors what I’m planning!!!

Saturday I’m going to make my grocery store run very early, then it’s off to Target and a few other places. I’m out of a lot of stuff–like body (fragrance) oils or sprays, need new make-up, esp. lipstick (geeze, it’s hard to find something that looks good on me, most of the stuff doesn’t, unfortunately). Ah well, enough rambling, time to catch a few zzz’s in preparation for tonight’s tv viewing.

I cleaned the bathroom and the kitchen, got my oil changed and did doggie things. I have a Cornish hen in the oven. such was my day off.

Herbs, I will be off on Thanksgiving for the first time in 4 years.

FCM, at least it wasn’t worse.

{{{{Shadow}}}}

I have tomorrow and Friday off. I am glad. I start a wonky schedule next week - Thanksgiving I work noon to 8, and have to turn around and be at work at 8 Friday morning. I think my supervisor is going to try to change that one. I hope so - I can’t just go right to sleep after work.

Went to Goody’s after work - three new tops for work and a Christmas gift; damage: $42. Not bad. Then another $30 at PetsMart for the fuzzbutts and home.

I need to pack up the fake jersey to send back to the seller. He didn’t protest much. I got an e-mail from Coach Bechard this afternoon saying he would look at it for me, but the guy had already said he would take it back. Asshole.

Interesting story, rigs. I haven’t read any LOTR erotica before, but I always knew we redheads were special.

Hot vampire pie sex. snicker

tarra, it’s a Paula Deen recipe. Of course it’s rich. The woman deep fries butter. And serves it with sour cream.
I think we have a marvellous array of choices for dinner- Swiss Chalet, pizza, or sushi.

Excellent story, rigs. We want more!!!

Hope the levels get better quickly, Shadow. Reading is part of your OCD? Can’t even imagine that. Hope the group is helping.

Gotta figure out what I’m doing tonight…

I’ll be back to comment some after I’ve figured out my evening, but I had to comment on rigsy’s masterpiece.

GT

Takes a bow.
Now I’m bored. Entertain me, please.

Work called and now I am working the early shift. I actually prefer it, but there is no chance of staying late, (aka making a bit more money). So, I awake at 0430 tomorrow.

I cannot get that “tree man” image out of my head. It is making me gag. Poor man.

Ah yes, Wednesday evening. Had dinner and got back just in time to sit and ignore my surroundings while TVMan listens to the Hal Turner Show.

I did my first workout today! Hooray for me!

I was a good girl, I vacuumed the upstairs (which includes the living room, kitchen and the laundry room) AFTER I got home from work, which was tiring. I did get to wash Sunny, the half-grown golden who when I first met was all fuzzy puppy but now is looking like an actual golden, in miniature, and he was surprisingly good in the tub, so that helped. He’s an absolute sweetie, if all hyper puppy. But there was still a crapload to do. We need help. Now!

But the upstairs is looking reasonable in case my invisible roommate turns up this week as I was informed he might. I hope he does soon, the suspense is killing me!

Tomorrow is my Firday this week, which makes me happy. And I now have an invitation for Thanksgiving, which also makes me happy.

It’s winter. It’s cold. So where’s the damn snow, huh? WHERE?

Well done,** PurpleHarold** and albinobunny. I neither worked out or cleaned house today–and I had time for both. Disgusting and just plain wrong. Gah. Must get it together and actually DO something with my life…

PurpleHarold?
