“By the moon! Are you sure you have no Ent in you, lad? What a fine specimen of wood that is. Boy, I’ll be making cream pies with this.”

Okay, this made me laugh out loud. Fortunately, not loud enough to cause Papa Tigs, who came home early today, to inquire why I was laughing – not being a LOTR fan, he would have some difficulty appreciating the finer points of CherryRaySue, methinks. Rigs, you have hitherto unplumbed talents!
I survived the dentist, in spite of it being a filling on one of my front teeth.
It’s all my orthodontist’s fault; when I got braces back in the Dark Ages, it was when they wrapped bands clear around your teeth, and then he fastened some wires on bands on two of my front teeth that were growing in way up high to have something to attach rubber bands to to pull them into the proper position. But the wires were fastened on so tight against my teeth that I couldn’t brush properly under them, so I ended up with deep grooves in the enamel on both teeth. One had to get filled about 15 years ago, and the second one finally succumbed now.
But at least, on the bright side, it wasn’t from lack of dental hygiene! My dental hygiene is superior, according to the hygienist who cleaned my teeth recently.
But I still need those four crowns (3 new ones, plus one replacement), and the root canal not because the tooth is sick but to insert an anchor in one tooth that doesn’t have enough tooth left to hold a crown on its own. $1900 worth of crowns. After insurance.
Have I mentioned how much I HATE going to the dentist?

Time to get back to work. Once again I’ve got a rush job. At least this isn’t congressional drivel, and it’s not due by 8:00 a.m., so if I don’t finish it this evening I can finish it in the morning. It’s not that long, though, so I’ll probably get it done tonight if I can, although watching Pushing Daisies HAS to come first. I absolutely adore that silly show!
