In Memoriam -- Nov. 4, 1995 -- Yet Another Depressing MMP

Morning all. Thank Og it’s Firday! It’s the weekend! Noor is crawling all over the shop, so this post may come to an abrupt end at any time. Took that online test and I am an INFJ (Introverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Judging). Dunno what that says about me - oh, here is what it says about me!

It’s 10am and I have already been up for 4.5 hours! Sigh, weekends used to be so much more relaxing pre-HRH, but I really wouldn’t have it any other way!

Rebo, congrats on the good result!

I love grocery shopping! I just love wandering the aisles and picking up stuff that never it occurred to me to need! 'Nuff said!

Time to run …

ETA: first on 7! w00t!!!

er, yay? 2nd on 7?
so there I was, quietly reading along, with a comfy, purry kitty on my shoulder, when I stumbled on this exchange:

and my fits of laughter sent the purry kitty away. I shall have to go back to bed now (it only being 4:49 am) and coax kitty back into comfy purry status.

Yay! It’s Friday, I have tea and chocolate, Tin Knickers appears to have taken a day’s leave and Don Twanna is too busy to annoy me. Life is good!

It’s Firday, and I’m off to work. Later.

Forgot to say, I originally read that you were knitting a cashmere cow, Shadow. And it didn’t seem unusual.

Yay for lack of annoyance in the workplace, BooFae (well, reduced annoyance, anyway).

I’m awake, although a bit groggy yet, due to having been awake till 1:00 or so. Slept really deeply, at least.

Happy Firday!!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! I’m up, wide awake, feelin’ good about it and caffienatin’. I think it has to do with the fact that I spent most of work, as BBBobbio is fond of sayin’, butt pickin’. There was a problem with the filler. If the filler ain’t workin’, then no beer gets in little cans. Out of eight hours, I was busy for probably a whole three hours. Matter of fact, at eight last night I went in the break room and watched My Name Is Earl. Yes, we have a tv in all the break rooms. Every time “Joy” spoke I thought about CherryRaySue.

I’m also makin’ lunch today. Meatloaf, smashed N.O.T., peas and carrots and probably some mini cornbread muffins. Or I’ll thaw some frozen rolls and bake 'em. Haven’t decided yet.

Yays, boos, hugs, etc. Goin’ to see if the paper is here yet.

Cite?

Caffeination done, and brekkie is being skipped today.

VWife did fine driving herself all over (local) creation to see 2 different doctors and work in a small shopping safari. She done tuckered herself out, too.

Tomorrow is a small road trip for the 2 of us. My old model railroad club is having an open house I want to go to, and she has the burning need to buy out the entire stock of the nearby Loann Fabrics store while I’m watching trains.

Good Morning and Happy Firday!

Well, I read along with the MMP yesterday from my cellphone so that I wouldn’t be tempted to stop and post. And I ended up going to bed at 7:30 last night when I finally made it home.

Yesterday was interesting, though. I had my appointment with the research doctors about this anti-depressant that I am on. It was sort of a good news, bad news kind of thing. The good news is that overall I’m doing better. The bad news is that my mood swings have gotten much worse with this pill and because it’s part of a study, I can’t take anything else along with it (like lithium which was always very helpful for me) and I also can’t go see a therapist. So, we all decided that I should give it a month or so longer to see if being on the increased dose will help any more.

Then we went to Red Robin for lunch and I ordered their fancy mac and cheese with grilled chicken. When I got it it tasted yummy. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm at best. So, I sent it back and they reheated it and it was still lukewarm. I guess this is so poignant to me right now because we just finished taking a 15 hour Safety and Sanitation class. Any food that has to be reheated in a microwave must be reheated to 165F and that’s, like, burn your tongue hot. So serving food the way that they did could make someone seriously ill.

Ok, enough of my soapbox. Hope everyone has a great day!

Oh yeah, almost forgot. Hey, Haze… Any word on the interview yet?

Thank Og It’s Firday!!!
and I am up, and will get dressed and pack as soon as I finish the comics. Cousin’s train is due in about two hours, so I have time. Packing is nothing - most of the “dry goods” stay in the suitcase year round, sundries refreshed as needed (sometimes on the road because halfway there I :smack: have a V-8 moment and remember something like “I’m out of toothhpaste”.) I just have to load up the clothes and get my meds in order.
I will go to DD for my caffeine, pick her up, and hit the road. We’ll be stoping at CrackerBarrel somewhere around or just past New Haven for lunch, then on up past the Big Blue Bug, who will probably be wearing antlers again, and we’ll have smooth sailing right up until we get past 495. Because we always hit traffic when we’re within 5 miles of 93 (128) because it will probably be after 3 when we get to that area. They have a long rush hour up there. And as soon as we dump our stuff in the hotel room - we will run (ok, hobble quickly) to hospitality to grab us some Mike’s and kick back. Upon my return Sunday evening, I will tell all. Or more likely, I’ll check in, say hi to everyone, and crash. I guess you’ll have to wait until Monday to hear about my weekend

I haven’t done the Myers-Briggs in a long time, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t come up with ISFJ last time. Who knows.

Since I forgot yesterday- congratulations, Rebo!
I’m up and eating breakfast. Dinner with the relatives was fine, although Bad Chinese Buffet isn’t my absolute favourite type of food. Today I have to (I hope) pick up my final checque and Record of Employment, and then go back to the office and try to submit all my bits of paper to someone. Last time I was there, there didn’t seem to be anyone to submit papers to. I figure I’ll just hang around and bother people until someone lets me file.

A dojo teenager and his girlfriend are coming over for dinner and Firefly. I’ve got to figure out what we’re eating. Probably stew or goulash or something else soupy.

if you’re watching Firefly, dinner should be something Chinese-y

and I’m off … vrooom vroom

Um, so, I had a funny feeling about the lunch that was scheduled today, so I called the client to confirm that it was still on. Sure enough, he had somehow in the past two weeks since he scheduled it managed to cancel it and not let me know. Doesn’t really bother me, though, because it was the only lunch of the day and I’m feeling kinda lazy.

I took that Bristol Myers Squib test and it suggested that I couldn’t do magic, but offered me some lovely parting gifts for my troubles. Ok, not really. But I did come up as an ISFJ, the protector. Very interesting as I’ve never taken it before. I was intrigued.

I think I’m rambling. Off to finish eating breakfast now.

Tired. Hungover.

But not working today!!!

Happy Firday, Mumpers!

I feel so good today! Because it’s Firday, and it’s the last day before vacation, and 'cuz I have no terrible deadlines hanging over my head. It’s a beautiful crisp morning, too.

Life is good.

Have a great day everyone!

Yep. I can definitely use some extra sleep this weekend. It’s gonna be a chilly one, so I’ma stay indoors whenever possible. It’s already pretty damn chilly out there.

I went shopping last night, just for a few things. It wasn’t too busy, and I was fortunate only to have encountered one mid-aisle-stopper and none of the other irritating Shopper Personality Types, so I was in and out in a dime.

I do have a message for the deli guy that made their individual salads though: If you’re going to include a tangerine in a Mediterranean salad – and I submit that fruit[sup]*[/sup] has no business in a salad that is not comprised of its brethren – then please make sure you’ve removed all of the peel.

Speaking of personality types, I’ve taken the Briggs-Myers in the past, but just for the hell of it I took another one just now. As usual, and apparently like many here, I came out an INTJ. (According to the test, 78% Introverted, 12% Intuitive, 62% Thinking, 22% Judging.) I don’t know how much stock I put in the accuracy of the test, but I rather like being called a Mastermind. It makes me realize that I’ve shamefully allowed my plans for world domination to languish.

Swampus - We don’t have TV in the break room, but if ever there is an extended period of time where I am unable to do anything, I have some TV shows recorded on my PDA that I can watch. Unfortunately that opportunity doesn’t come round much. Also, I have never eaten collard greens. I’m not even sure what that consists of, and once upon a time, I heard that term and thought to myself, “I wonder if they come in a regular crew neck?”

Rebo - Damn, I missed that thread, and it’s a bit late to contribute meaningfully to it anyway – but it was a good read.

[sub]* Tomatoes excepted.[/sub]

I thought I’d take the test again, just to see if I’d changed (it’s been some years since I took it).

I’m an INTJ, still–but moderate, so I’m wondering if I’m moving toward F.
And I think it says something not so nice about me that I remembered the J as judgemental, not “judging”.

Here is the profile: INTJ
As can be seen, I AM THE MASTERMIND!!! <Bwaahahahahahahahahah>

<Rubs hands in glee>–ALL SHALL BOW AND OBEY ME!!!

Yes!

My back is kind of sore. No bowing today.
Drat. The cheques haven’t arrived at work (they get delivered by the owner. Small business etc.) and they’ll show up whenever he does, which could be one or two in the afternoon. Unless I get called in the next hour with the announcement They’re Here! I think I’ll put off filing till Monday. I don’t want to have to throw myself on the mercy of governement social staff late on a Friday afternoon. And having to wait tensely all day sucks.
Maybe I’ll make truffles and brittle today instead.

MinDude it troubles me greatly that you know nuttin’ of the mighty greens, so, for your edjookashun, here’s a brief history of collard greens. I have imparted wisdom.

I put the meatloaf in the oven a few minutes ago and it’s already smellin’ soooooo good! Oh, and instead of smashed N.O.T. I decided on mac & cheese cause it’s kinda cool out today and m & c just seemed to be a better thing. I also took some rolls out to thaw and rise. These are Parker House frozen rolls. YUMMMMMM!!!

I’m thinkin’ I’ll go take the M-B in a bit just cause it’s been a long time and I don’t remember what I am anymore. I seem to remember it havin’ sump’n to do with being the type of person who wants to whap stoopid people upside the haid.

LiLi, I was watching the Today show this morning and they had some of Nigella’s recipes on there. I think it was you who liked her, isn’t it?

I’m going to have to try to make her Instant chocolate mousse and her Roquamole.

I woke up in a funk this morning. Grrrrr…hate waking up that way. I’m off today as well, which is a good thing.
