In praise of Unexpected Money

Yes, I got some yesterday. Unexpected Money, that is. After several months (in a row!) of being desperately, heartbreakingly, stressingly, dirt-eating poor, I came into eleven hundred dollars yesterday, a back payment from Supplemental Security.
Hallelujah, bingo, and praise be to Allah! I love it when this happens. Couldn’t have come at a better time, either… the boat was slowly sinking. Last night I went out for dinner for the first time in a loooong time, at Applebee’s. I had a steak. Sure, it was a cheapass, piddly, gristly Sirloin steak, but gee, it tasted so sweet.
Hey, now I can actually go buy groceries!! No more store-brand toilet paper and doing without paper towels, which had become a luxury! I’m going to wallow in high-quality paper products, yay!
If I didn’t have to spend the majority of the money right away on bills and supplies, I’d roll around in it and play with myself.
Just thought I’d share.

Why can’t you roll around in it and play with yourself for a while in the morning and then pay the bills in the afternoon?

I love when that happens!

I know it’s not the same but I found a $20 in my bag and I just about shrieked with joy. Yes it was that exciting.
