In the history of the SDMB has anyone ever been wrong about more things than adaher?

True, those are frauds, chimeras and hallucinations.

The young will sign up any minute, I’m sure, just as soon as they get that website working. They are eager to serve their country by subsidizing other people.

Well at least you were named an SDMB milestone. Other than that I hardly see any pitting issue.

Which young are you talking about?

Wait a tick, I just realized I don’t care. You’re an idiot who will spout with sincerity any stupid thing he heard from some dumbass right wing source. I can predict pretty well what you’ll say on any topic, and 97% of the time you’ll be wrong.

You’re obsessed with finding big red flags for the Democrats. Nothing in this race is a big red flag. Cooch got even more “dismal” numbers for the 25-39 crowd.

Then you’re delusional. The race was a gimme and it turned into a nailbiter, and it did so because of ACA.

Or McAuliffe’s entirely unnecessary gun control remarks shortly before the election. And while closer than earlier it wasn’t a nailbiter.

You simply want it to be about ACA and/or Obama and refuse to accept any other explanation, which is exactly the same problem you have with everything else: you write your narrative first and then interpret events and exclude conflicting information in order to fit the conclusion you’ve already drawn.

Well, it’s not like I’m alone in drawing it. And since ACA is what’s dragging the President down it’s not unreasonable to assume that ACA is dragging the party he leads down as well.

The VA race had nothing to do with the ACA. The exit polling and other polls show this. You are wrong,

The sad thing is that adaher is probably right about Obama’s misrepresentations about people being able to keep their old insurance policies under ACA but he’s so determined to extrapolate that into 1) “If I’m right about one thing, I must have been right about everything else too!” and 2) “If Obama lied about this, he’s probably lying about everything else too!” that the one brief shining candle flame of rightness is getting immediately quenched by a metric ton of wrongness slurry being dumped on top of it.

Take the win and cherish it, man.

It’s very simple: No matter what happens, in adaherland it is bad news for Democrats.

Republicans win a race? Bad news for Democrats

Democrats win a race? Bad news for Democrats

Three-headed calf born in a village in India? Bad news for Democrats
It’s a system that avoids wasting time on thinking and lets adaher concentrate on the stuff he’s good at, like spewing.

While I am well aware of the ineptitude, inaccuracy and ignorance of adaher, has it actually been established that he has set the gold standard for such on the SDMB? Surely there have been others in the past who have evinced such remarkable behavioral characteristics.

Are there other candidates that the old-timers here might present for competition for this vaunted title?

That’s like asking if there was ever a pitcher-turned-outfielder who was better than Babe Ruth.

My favorite is how this supports an assertion that “the public” has been a good judge of the potential concerns of the ACA. Thus, “the public’s” concerns that the ACA will increase the debt are more valid than the CBOs actual calculations.

It is a treat to see a mind of this particular caliber at work.

Well, there was Susanann, but she was also batshit crazy. At least Adaher isn’t posting that Isaac Asimov stole his ideas.

Has anyone asked him?

So, Adaher, why are you still here? When there are “better places”, according to you? Doesn’t that make your ongoing participation in this inferior board a Meta-Fail?

A stunned SDMB realized today that adaher had got the whole 60 Minutes story about Benghazi thing wrong, and not in small part because his source got it wrong.

It really is pretty remarkable how you can set your watch by adaher being wrong.* The other day in Elections I saw him say something about the economy of California - a subject I know almost nothing about - and immediately I thought “I am going to Google that and it’ll turn out he’s full of shit.” And I did and he was. He gets some bonus points this time because after I corrected him, he went back and edited his post to try to make a much more limited claim.

*Your watch will be wrong all the time, but it’ll be Obama’s fault.

I love the cognitive dissonance here. Virginia is, at best, a purple state, so the only reason the race would be a "gimme" is if Cooch was a dismal candidate. And Cuccinelli is not overtly lacking in charisma -- his flaws all arise from his extremist conservative views. So Adaher, who is heavily invested in believing that Democrats suck, is forced to admit that his side sucks even more in order to turn Cuccinelli's defeat into a Pyrrhic victory.

Note that Adaher has raised “Us vs. Them” to such an art form that I can’t ever quite tell what he believes about any of the causes he fights so valiantly for or against. I think he’s against ACA, for example, but that may only be because Obama is for it. At least some of the conservatives on this board have (loathsome) points of view that they’re willing to defend – Adaher’s approach seem more “Hey, guys, have you seen this bit of news? Your side is losers!”
