Well golly gee… why would anyone go through all that trouble to get the hair I’ve been spending my entire life trying to get rid of (see: Exhibit A, circa 1980 and Exhibit B, circa 2007)? Especially when they have the gorgeous UNcurly hair I’ve dreamt of for the aforementioned entire life?
Us womenfolk sure are silly when it comes to our hair. Sigh.
I can see the resemblance, Noone Special. I just hope I look as good when I reach your age.
Pretty much. This is my third or fourth attempt at facial hair after discovering I can actually grow it at the beggining of last year but I always shave it off after a couple months because it won’t grow in fully and what does grow in is unruly and patchy yet poofy. Stupid hair.
Seriously, though, my hair in its natural state is half-heartedly wavy and frizzy to boot. The only good thing about it is that it’s easy to style - whatever I do to it stays in for at least a day.
Thanks for making me feel better about my hair y’all. I might try with smaller sections like Miss Purl suggested. Maybe even tonight, if I can be bothered.
I like it! I may try it myself, on my crazy hair. I like that it still has tons of body, but the curls are loose and not frizzy. Maybe don’t curl so high (to the crown)? That would give body, with less bulk.
Haze, those photos are priceless. See, I have living under my roof a rare and unique creature known as The Fem-Bot[sup]tm[/sup]. She started out her life with a head-full of thick and slightly wavy hair. As she aged a wee tad, her hair became more wispy but still retained the slightly wavy feature that is the hallmark of many Korean women.
Now she has her hair treated every few months by the local hair salon in her valiant attempts to get rid of even the slightest hint of wave. She also uses a hair iron which gives her the totally straight haired look she feels she as an Asian woman must have.
Her hair’s fantastically wavy when washed and allowed to air dry but she cannot be convinced to ever let the world see it. Interesting.
You’ve got very straight hair and love trying to wave it up. ( down? ) Mahna Mahna sure nailed it.
ETA: Oh jeez- I just read upon Preview, your last post. LOL- so much for your straight hair that you try to fluff up. Hell, I worked like a demon uploading and coding those links. The post stays !!!
Thanks, it was, for 10 or 15 minutes. Then it drooped and sagged. Which is why I now wear it short and sorta layered. It was a sad, sad day when I accepted that I’d never have Farrah’s riotous mane. <sigh> stoopit hair.
