In which ways, if any, does Harris hold different views than Biden?

Let’s assume Kamala wins in November.

Is there any policy or stance in which she has been known to differ from Biden in any way, or is it going to be pretty much Biden 2.0 for four or eight years?

Taxes, religion, Ukraine, guns, drugs, abortion, LGBT, race, gender, environment, China, illegal immigration, Israel-Palestine, affirmative action, etc.

She seems more pro gun control, based upon her term as CA AG.

More or less, similar to Biden internationally, afaik.

While their views on abortion and women’s health care access may be aligned, I suspect she as a different view on how to talk about and address it.

Trains. We just don’t “get” trains here in California.

She is not different, but inexperienced in foreign policy. More likely to be a bit aggressive. But it’s not going to work with Israel.

She’s been notably more pro-Palestine than he has.

Speak for yourself. I took the Caltrain from San Jose to SF daily for a few years, and both the Coast Starlight route and the Pacific Surfliner .

Was it really notable? Or was it just a hint subject to multiple interpretations?

Today:

Does she really believe we should be intolerant of rhetoric we find abhorrent? I hope not. But she is running for President in an election where the other side is going to paint her as far-left, and she needs to slap that down. I think today’s statement is less about Gaza and more an indication that she is in this to win.

People might forget, but Joe’s ties to Amtrak are pretty huge. He has even been called Amtrak Joe as a nickname. They even named a rail station after him.

In theory, this would give an idea:

In the coming campaign, she is going to have to find something on this list, or something else, to put out there as making her distinctive. And officeholders do try, within reason, to keep campaign promises.

In the real world, Harris would certainly make different decisions than Biden would, but it is almost impossible to know in advance what they will be.

I do not think she is an ideologue. This helps make me comfortable with her.
