Do scammers read these income polls?
I think there is a big difference in income from 100K-250K. The poll should really have made two categories of that. 100-175 and 176-250. Just my opinion.
“millionare” usually refers to assets owned. The poll is regarding salary.
In my area, the latter lives in a slightly larger one bedroom appartment. It’s tough living in NYC on hudreds of thousands of dollars a year.
I don’t see an option to edit the poll to make it private. If Qin requests, I could close this thread and someone can start a new one.

I realize that those of us who didn’t realize it was a public poll should have been more diligent before participating, but isn’t this a valid reason to remove a thread rather than just close it?

I see mods close threads on pretty flimsy excuses, pretty regularly.
I’m not seeing any pressing reason that this should remain open, when responders have already acknowledged they would not have voted had they realized it was a public poll.

I didn’t realize it was a public poll when I voted earlier. I would not have participated had I seen that.
I could care less that it’s public, but I would like to note that I chose the wrong box since he meant household rather than individual. I need to be bumped up a block.

I’m not terribly concerned about the fact that it’s a public poll. I don’t know you and you don’t know me, and I’ve revealed much more personal stuff on these boards.
True. I’m not insulted that it’s public. I just don’t reveal those things in general. Maybe it is a matter of conditioning. To me it’s just rude to ask. Even though if you knew my name you can find my salary on a state database.
Weird. I don’t see RandRover complaining about a public poll in which he’s earning in the top bracket…
