Seriously, I’m getting database errors 5-6 times per visit for the last week or so.
I’ve had it hang three of the five mornings this week only to find all of the messages are suddenly marked “read”, as well. It’s only now loading after hanging for the last 15 minutes.
Amen to that (err “damn” that)…
I haven’t had any problems at all since July 1. But I always visit the board in the PM (Chicago time).
If we’re collecting data points, I haven’t had any problems this week. (Other than one point this morning, but that was my connection pingponging up and down.)
I get a lot of db errors and hangs around 7 am CDT.
Yeah, it’s happening to me a lot, too (as in multiple times a day). I also have to wait ages for the links to the forums, from the main forum index, to work.
I’ve had database errors twice already this morning. Crappy performance continues.
Bad performance for me too, even very early in the AM on the East coast.
And here I was thinking “how’d they know about last night? I’ve got to stop leaving the webcam on.” 
Seriously, though, I’m having the same issues. I’ll report it.
It’s taken 45 minutes for this page to load. I wonder how long it’ll take for my post to go through, if at all?
And the entire board is appearing as ‘read’ within minutes of the Board opening. Pathetic.
I’ve been trying to get in for the last 30 minutes - and this is the third time this week it’s been draggy.
Took twenty minutes and numerous attempts to get to the board just now.
Ditto.
I’m noticing that if I click on the “last post” column, I get that topic. If I click on the forum heading, nothing happens. Eventually times out. This is quite pitiful.
Every morning I’ve been having issues, too. I pretty much assume I will neither be able to sign in nor really use the board for an hour or so when I get in. It’s strange.
I’ve had loads of problems this morning, since maybe 7:45 CT. 19 times out of 20 that I click on a forum, I get a database error.
I’m having a comparable connection issue to my defect tracking server at the office, so my problem isn’t solely with the SDMB.
The degraded performance is forcing me to concentrate elsewhere; on my actual work load. This is alarming and must be rectified.
I don’t think it’s you or your server. I’ve been having problems all morning.
I quit trying to post about 8:45 am EDT because it was so bad. I came back in here at 10:25 EDT, and within one minute, had been reset as showing my last visit was 10:26! This is happening with nasty frequency in the mornings here. Makes it very hard to read what has happened since you were last here.
Fix, please.
