Bolding mine - she might have had guys show up at her gigs before, and is avoiding having that happen in the future, by not being too specific. YOU probably wouldn’t show up unnanounced at her regular spot (if she has one), but she doesn’t know that yet.
I used to bartend, and very quickly learned not to tell guys I met on the personals where I worked, due to a couple of dim bulbs who’d just show up and try to “meet” me while I was working. So I definitely wouldn’t read too much into this, it’s probably not at all personal.
Oh, I’m not taking it personally. She’s in a band, and uses her real name on gmail - she’s easily googled to find her shows if one wanted to be that guy. I’m just chalking it up to a) being distracted or b) not being a fan of chat (especially with a random like me). I just thought it was kind of funny - “Hey, I have a really interesting career, and am going to use it as a great lead-in for my first contact e-mail, but you’re not getting a bit of info out of me after that, hahaha!”
