Yeah. Just yesterday. No, I did not attend.
The most unstoppable force since joementum.
Flows right through all barriers…
I was there for a couple hours. There were maybe a hundred protesters on the sidewalk outside the church, and there were about one or two dozen self-segregated Ron Paul supporters across the street. Of those that drove by that honked, a small majority seemed supportive, but those that were critical were probably more vocal. The security/police would not let us in the church unless any bit of protest paraphernalia was taken off, even including a yellow bandanna a friend was wearing. Most people there were wearing yellow of some sort, and many were carrying yellow parasols in honor of the women’s suffrage movement’s Golden Lane at the 1916 Democratic National Convention.
Here are some pictures from the event. This one, of an old woman wearing a nasal cannula while protesting, is my favorite.
I love the “Rick Santorum thinks about gay sex more than gay people think about gay sex” sign.
I’m not seeing the debate topic here. Moved to The BBQ Pit from Elections.
You don’t schedule a room that is way too big for the number that you expect to show up. Better to have people standing in the aisles, crowding the doorways, straining to see and hear what’s going on inside than to have rows and rows of empty seats. Better to have people bubbling with excitement as they leave, with folks saying things like, “The place was PACKED! We couldn’t even get IN!” And make sure your advance people and others keep saying things like, “We had no idea so many people would come!” Buzz buzz buzz…!
Progress is being made if it is just Insantorum and not Linsantorum.
I now have that Metallica song in my head.
*Insantorium
Leave me be

Just leave me alone

Abba’s house?
Did he want them to take a chance on him?
Did he talk about the evil of dancing queens?
Do you think this might have been his Waterloo?
Something about Fenando?
This is how my hometown welcomed Santorum. Juvenile? Perhaps. But I wish I could have been there to give the guy a high-five.
Yeah, Abba’s house. It’s got a statue of Gandalf out front…
You’re being generous. Is that not one of the most grotesque statues you’ve ever seen?
Utterly absurd, and not in a good way:
http://abbashouse.com/pages/page.asp?page_id=134791 Wish this showed the whole thing.
Maybe there was something in the air that night.
It looks like Gandalf molesting a hobbit from what I can see…
Nah, that would have made it Phil Collin’s house.
Whatever did happen to Santorum’s crusade against man on midget lovin?
