I’m surprised to not find any mention of it in CS. Anyone else watch this show?

The show Intelligence, on CBC, is centered around two groups of people - a major dope dealer and a law enforcement crew whose job is to keep tabs on organized crime in & around Vancouver. It starts out a bit slow but picks up after the first-third of the 1st season and maintains a good grip till the end of the 2nd season which just aired.

Some people compare it to the Wire, but that’s more social commentary rather than straight-up entertainment. But like it, Intelligence is not cheesy or cliched. Unfortunately, its ratings have been lacklustre and there’s a real danger of it not coming back, as was the case after the 1st season.

I really like Intelligence, it’s a pity that CBC decided not to make a third series. The executive producer said that he’s in talks with a US network but I don’t see how the show will continue to portray the US in the same light if it’s on Fox, they’re not exactly the good guys.

ETA: Intelligence and ReGenesis are two of my favourite non-British shows.

I started a thread on this show that sank like a stone. This is a great show, I hope it returns next year.

I’ve probably read the same things you have. It was an interview with the creator/executive producer and he basically said the show was done.

We don’t know that we’re dead (on the CBC). Stranger things have happened. But we’re going ahead with (the Fox version) no matter what. I wrote a pilot with John Wells and we’ve sold it to Fox. They love it, but everything’s (in a holding pattern) because of the writers strike in the U.S."
