International McDonald's items they need in the U.S.

We had the beetroot here - as part of the limited time Kiwiburger. It did *not *have real kiwi in the patty.

I can’t recall if they sell beer at McD in Japan. Several other fast food chains do, though.

One that was really good was their pepper sausage burger. I think it was their breakfast sausage patty, served with the regular burger topping, with a spicy pepper-mayonnaise sauce. That was a long time ago, though.

Really? I’ve never seen that.

In Korea they have a bulgogi burger.

There may have been beetroot in the “Aussie Burger”, I don’t know, I never had one (because I thought it had beetroot), anyway the standard McDs burgers in Australia do NOT have beetroot.

I can’t remember whether it was at McDonald’s or Burger King, but in England one of the options for french fry dipping was curry sauce. Beat the hell out of ketchup.

The Angus burgers have replaced any need for some of the alterations on burgers I saw in Europe that were good. Dear lord, though, don’t bring the McCountry to the US (Czech Republic).

Do they have cheeseburgers? I could see some kosher issues with that.

Many - perhaps most - of all McD’s in Israel are not kosher, but you have to ask for cheese; the default burger (if you ask for a “meal”) is plain.

I opened this thread to discuss the McLobster.

According to my wife, it’s as bad as it sounds.

We have salmon wraps. One version has wasabi, one has honey-lime sauce. I’ve never been tempted to try them, but perhaps someone else can tell you if they’re as bad as they sound

We also have the McFeast, which I believe is found in some other European countries, too. It’s a Quarter Pounder with mayo, lettuce, and tomatoes - basically McD’s answer to the Whopper. Burger King responded with the Big King, which is their answer to the Big Mac, with a fairly similar “special sauce” and the rest. Personally of all the burgers mentioned in this paragraph, I’ll take the Big King… but my stomach will hate me in the morning!

eta: What I’d really like is to have some Quick shops here - their fries are da bomb - but I guess that’s not going to happen. They’re pretty much confined to Belgium and northernish France.

Spanish McDonald’s: gazpacho and beer!

It’s not out of the country, but in Hawaii you can get Portuguese sausage, eggs and rice as a breakfast meal and it’s fantastic.

Many years ago, I went to a McDonald’s in Rome (the one near the Spanish Steps) and they had a pasta/salad bar.

Do any of them serve wine or liquor?

At first glance, I thought you meant “curly fries” and were making fun of the way they would pronounce it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ashtrays.

And their saimin isn’t half bad. First ethnic food item ever approved for McDonalds, in fact.

On one burger - the McOz. And AFAIK, it’s been discontinued.

Go to a fish and chip shop and order a hamburger “with the lot” and it will come with beetroot. Of course a real hamburger in no way resembles the things that McChucks call burgers, so it’s no surprise that merely pinching one ingredient didn’t work for them.
